There must be a rule always to hold at least 3rd part of your bank in BTC, 2/3 of your investment bank might be spent for altcoins trading.

Investment is always good for diverting them into many other altcoins but the thing here is we have to find the good one which can give you good returns in the long run because every time we can't keep our money into different shit coin for making money.

I am more interested to buying altcoins that have potential to go up well for end year. Because, usually altcoin often experience an unexpected surge. However, holding bitcoin also not a bad idea.

This is a good question since I am regularly overthinking my strategy.
In ideal world i would have large chunk of BTC and would buy ALTS with my profits from BTC .

Do both is good. You will learn much by do that both option and also there is any benefit from it. Your value in USD will look stable.
to the second to none are promising but if I think I select hold bitcoin because price bitcoin in the next year will be much better, very promising.

I do both, and I mine. I mine coins that have potential, hold some/trade some. I keep the BTC on lockdown and trade altcoins to make more BTC. I then take some of the profits in BTC and add it to my collection. Then go back and do it all over again, mine/trade/sell, etc.

with many crypto speculators predicting BTC will go from $100,000 to $1 million per in the future, it wouldn't make sense not to hold on to at least some... it all depends on what your comfortable with

I would suggest you to hold 50% in Bitcoin and plan investing other 50% equally into ETH, Ripple, Litecoin and Dash.

Bitcoin investment - It is safe and expect double the value in another 1 or 2 year.
Altcoins - The listed Altcoins are bit steady in market and are performing good in terms of growth and value consistently.

However, decision is yours. You need to double check in all the possible ways before investing in Altcoins or hold your investment in Bitcoin.

Spreading your investment over a diversified portfolio is pure common sense. Betting everything on a single coin, BTC or any other, might turn out to be a complete disaster.

Diversify!

Should I hold Bitcoins Or should I buy Altcoins with it.
And Why ?

What's your take on it ?
The problem i find in buying altcoins is you might buy tokens/coins from a project which is a sinking ship and nobody can help you with this as there is no cash back policy in this kind of an investment and you could lose all your money. Its better to play it safe and use bitcoins which are on high demand so hodl so that you can make extra cash from it.

The best variant sell bitcoins when the price for altcoins in satoshi is low. After wait when price for altcoins will be "x" in satoshi and by bicoin at lower level

Most times, one may not really know some of these coins except for some that are really in their huge dips and are pretty much undervalued right now. They would always seem the best to buy at any moment considering the level at which they can go just in a couple of days.

A lot of them have shown that improvement right now and it still seems this is the huge month for alts anyway, so considering diversifying some part of one's folio into alts won't be a bad idea for profit.

I have done both. I am holding my bitcoins, then, sometimes I also sell it in the right timing. I then buy it with ethereum, then sell it again at the right timing. This cycle repeats every time and I am gaining enough profit from it.

We need someone to make a comparison between 2 portfolios:

A) 10 btc

B) equally distributed over 100 altcoins, each now worth 0.1 btc

I would bet on portfolio B
That would be a very huge portfolio, but considering someone who already did it on this forum as an experiment with $1000, it seems like something that is paying him a lot after some days. https://buyandhold100crypto.com/buy-and-hold-100-crypto-for-5-years-the-experiment/
I am impressed though that someone had to take the entire step into doing that and monitoring his portfolio with cointracker or so.

Diversification is always a good thing in every investment, while some are doing well, the others may still be stagnant for a while but in the long run, they will still end up doing great.

A lot of alts have increased so huge just in some couple of days even more than bitcoin, but the only shit about them is that they can end up getting dumped as high as they could go which is what makes it a more risky environment than bitcoin.

I would also bet on portfolio B. No question about that. In statistical terms, the probability for a BTC crash is lower than the probability of 100 alt crashing.

Besides, everytime BTC plummets the alts rise!

Definitely, if you keep the bitcoins, you will earn, but you can earn more in Altcoy, so it is tempting to buy altcoyins, but they can also fall quickly, it's a game for traders, it's better just to keep bitcoin.

Hold 75% of bitcoin and  buy 25% good and potential altcoins. In think this way your investment are safe. Because you will earn if you hodl bitcoin and you are lucky and been careful with choosing the right altcoins you will definitely earn also because people are becoming more aware with other cryptos that demand has been rising nowadays.

If the altcoins are at the bottom, then you can safely buy them. But do not get in with the entire deposit. I would distribute it this way: 50% investing in bitcoin and 50% investing in 5-10 altcoins

I think Bitcoin is at the bottom now. Altcoins are still not at the bottom...
