I have a couple advices for you. I  only writing about altcoins I am personally HODL'ing!
So my number #1 it is XRP. I think this coin will replace BTC on top #1 in near future. Because this coin will much more valuable when banks starts using it and this will take us to the moon.

My number #2 is 0x (ZRX). Just read about it and you will understand why I am so bullish on it.

And my number #3 right now is ZIL. It already made me 100% just in two past weeks.

As some have mentioned, pay attention to market cap and not the price of the coin. Smaller marketcaps are what you want to invest in, not necessarily smaller dollar values.
