You can expect, even greater volatility with such a take-off in the price. So be prepared to buy if the price drops dramatically

If the price spikes in December, it will come with a flood of buy/sell orders.  But: remember what happened in Nov when the BTC fork was cancelled?  The BTC blockchain was clogged up for quite a while.  If a spike happens again, buy/sell orders might sit for hours (days?) before 6+ confirmations are generated.  If that sort of processing delay becomes common-place (every time there is a sharp spike in price); it could lead to some erosion of faith in BTC.  Also, with institutional investors coming online soon, that's only going exacerbate the issue (due to increased volume).

My guess is that Core will need to increase the number of transactions/sec that BTC can handle...and that means another fork, probably in 2018.

Increasing prices mean that the demand is still strong. And IMO, it is going to hit new peaks, once the CME and CBOE start the trading of Bitcoin futures in their exchanges. Bitcoin will become mainstream once these exchanges start derivative trading. The big bulls will enter the market and take BTC to the outer space.

due to mainstream acceptance, the price of bitcoin surge up high and most likely the satisfied early adoptors of btc gain profit that is why there are ups and downs in the chart but in the end if we all believe that btc is a secured investment, all of us will never convert to fiat.

When price correction surely many will make more money and price will just go back to its previous due to high buy demand because of the cheaper price. Price volatility is very normal when it comes to bitcoin this we know very well especially the ones that have higher ranks here, so just relax and keep your faith up for the price is just playing its old game (the up and down game). If you really believe the system your faith must not waiver for we are just starting to conquer the world buy storm. News as of the moment are great and is opening new markets for us, not for just bitcoin but for altcoins as well.

No one really knows when the correction would come. This is a speculative market, it can happened today, or next week. The best thing to do is just check the price regularly so that we will know when the dump is coming. But fear not this price going down, its a good buying point and accumulate more bitcoin.

My thoughts is that there will be correction, but I don't think it will go down significantly. And as I have said, investors are waiting for this to happened, so that they can buy bitcoin at discounted price. But don't just dump your coin, just wait till it top before making the decision to sell.

There is no cause for alarm as regards to the price of bitcoin,  in recent times it has been strongly bullish movement, pullback or correction then upward movement again, recalled during Chinese government clamped down on exchanges the price went dip  and recovered and obviously the price is very predictive and hopefully the bullish sentiment will continue after this present price corrections.

My fear is i can afford to buy because is to much expensive its price, maybe i will continue my campaign i join then save my earning from it, then collect until i have a lots of bitcoin. You shouldn't worry about it as correction has occurred and has been passed a few days ago. Bitcoin is likely to reach a higher price instead of fall down again due to "bitcoin futures" will pump the market and you may see the price suddenly spike and reach another ATH. Honestly, nothing to fear if you have invested in bitcoin simply because of the nature of bitcoin (limited supply and high demand) which ensure the price will always grow over time, it has been proven since the first time bitcoin launched to the market.
There are lots of people regret their decisions to sell bitcoin when it reaches $5000 or even $10,000 as bitcoin price recovered within 24 hours. Have you ever seen some people predict bitcoin will reach $100K or even $1 Millon in 2020? So, there is no reason to fear about correction as it's a normal thing in crypto-world, just holding your bitcoin.

I think you should not fear when the price fall down because it is just a normal thing in bitcoin that’s why it is volatile, the price goes down and up. If your fear is the for the price to go down permanently, it would not happen unless all investors withdraw all their investment but it is unlikely to happen since investor are getting more and more profit from bitcoin so the price of bitcoin will continue to rise.

I will not rule out a correction. Once the derivative trading starts in CME, the short sellers may attempt to bring down the price of BTC. Derivative trading opens all sort of possibilities. There can be a pump and dump, or there can be a major correction. But at least in the beginning, the prices will go up.

A wave (ups and downs) is a fact of life....nothing (including BTC) can only go up forever....
But it's getting more attention and momentum (and of course good news), so even if a dump happens due to a correction/cash out for profit...., that'll be to give more power for the coming pump.

Don't be too quick to leave the moon rocket in fear of an imminent correction. Bitcoin has shown great dominance in the past. We've seen it go through several downtrends and still coming out top every single time. Better to hedge some and enjoy the BTC moon ride Imho.
