I'm in shock that a photo of these keychains was used as stock photography for a bitcoin article on BusinessInsider.com:

http://www.businessinsider.com/reaction-to-texas-judge-bitcoin-ruling-2013-8

I owe them for the P.R., and I guess I should add "as seen on BusinessInsider.com" as a credit now.

Im so jealous, Ive gone as far as to post some images of my goods on free imagebanks online with credits to use freely, but havent seen a single taker so far. I mean comeon Casascius coins are cool but the articles really need more diverse images!

Bitcoin trinkets now on my online store: btc trinkets.com <- Bitcoin Tiepins, cufflinks, lapel pins, keychains, card holders and challenge coins.

Yeah, it was amazingly lucky! Pinguino (the photographer) said her creative commons images are used a lot online, so that may have helped. Have you done any image searches to be sure yours haven't been used?

I have, but no luck so far. One thing I need to be honest about tough is that the photographs I have available for my goods are not professional.. it's getting better but not there yet.

I would encourage you to buy one. I bought one and I'm happy with it. Durable, looks great, and pairs nicely with my car key. I'm thinking I'm going to have buy more. A keychain ain't much so I must like it a lot to be taking a minute of my time to endorse it. Smiley

I agree that too, but anyway the Penguin Bitcoin keychain is for sure a good cute keychain. A bit lighter than metals. I hang it on my wallet so instead of showing my key, i show my wallet. LOOK MA! BITYCOINS!

Considering that i've got my keychain from Isokivi (wonder what shipping to Hong Kong is cheap in Finland but not US), i guess i wont get a new keyring in the short future. But guys, you are really creative

Thanks 001sonkit. Yeah, different keychains for different people. I think this is the heaviest that has been mass-produced (I've also seen wood ones, 3D-printed ones, etc., so I'm not sure what those weigh). If you want something light, the two options I think of first are the penguin and Jon Waller's keychains:
http://btctrinkets.com/presta2/index.php?id_product=9&controller=product
http://cryptoanarchy.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&path=64&product_id=125

Note that ALL of our keychains can be repurposed as necklaces, placed on a pet's collars, etc.

The use of these keychains as stock photography in Bitcoin articles continues to blow my mind. Thanks again to Pinguino for enabling the first media use of a photo of these keychains.

Loving these.

Send coindesk some large decent images to use - 1024x768 minimum, and will add to archive. Will link to the store / seller or here with credit. I like the one with the PCB background Smiley

Cheers

I'd like to pay in BTC, is that an option anywhere? It doesn't appear to be.

While Amazon doesn't take Bitcoin, I believe both the other online retailers do accept Bitcoin (and not Fiat). If you get to the checkout process, and don't see it's BTC that's accepted, please let me know and I'll get you taken care of.

Ships from the US

Ships from the EU

Thanks for your interest!
