Yay! I got it, and the letter where it was in has some awesome things on it, like stamps, customs things and handwrote my name and addres, I luv fair buisness!
BTW, it is awesome, now I got something to brag about...
Glad to hear it. Do you want to mention which store you bought it from, since it sounds like they should get some credit for the extras included in your shipment? There's more than one seller of these keychains, so I have no clue who you purchased from. It was the EU shop, it wasn't anything extra, but I really like the poststamps and hand writing and customs things, becouse we don't have shit like that no more in the NL, if you know what I mean, this envelope is a keeper. I don't kjnow if you did that but the thing was packed in bubbelwrap and foam, pretty good job right there! That would be one of mine, I overdo the packing a bit, but thats based on experience, modern fully automated postal sorting machines are quite ferocious when you send items in envelopes Some sort of shipping lable printer is in my list of things to buy when the alternative is to pay more taxes instead of them, looks like next year I'll get to make some investments in to my business for tax optimisation purposes. So you are the owner of the shop I bought from, you deserve positive rep....

I agree, and not just for the keychains themselves (which would be a good enough reason), also this is a great example of a simple product that everyone needs, well made, presented professionally, effectively marketed. It is a good example for anyone who is looking to become part of the bitcoin economy. People could learn a lot from just seeing how it is done here.

That is very true sir, this is THE perfect example about how someone should do business!

I truly appreciate the kinds words. My background is design (mostly for print), but my more recent past was marketing an iDevice accessory I invented. So, using my existing skill-set, I tried to create and market a product I thought was respectful to Bitcoin, and that would appeal to Bitcoiners. I thought a substantial, coin-like keychain with simple retail packaging (with a functional UPC code and all) would be a nice extra touch. I didn't have a sense many were going that extra mile with their Bitcoin products yet.
Selling keychains is hardly a way to get rich, but it is a great way to be involved, experience Bitcoin commerce (retail and wholesale), experiment with merchant service providers like BitPay, and just feel the warm glow of people saying they like the product! Of course, getting paid in an appreciating currency is pretty nice!
Anyway, thanks again. Hope everyone is enjoying their keychains.

Big thanks to whoever chooses the photos for The Daily Dot! Nice to both the Bitcoin and Litecoin keychains used in an article about yesterday's senate hearings. http://www.dailydot.com/politics/jerry-moran-bitcoin-reddit-senate-panel/If you hold Bitcoin or Litecoin, these keychains are getting dramatically cheaper all the time (in BTC or LTC). Original post has all the details for purchasing.

I sell these for BTC at cryptoanarchy.com but am willing to do paypal for US addresses at a $2 premium. I cannot do international as tracking is just too expensive for USA to UK mailing.

I do constantly envy the free publicity the keychains get, I have free to use aslong as you mention the source photos of my goods available on flickr, I've seen a couple of users, but nothing as major as you have managed to snag. Incase anyone reading this (TALKING TO YOU LURKING REPORTERS!) feel free to conact me, Im even willing to take requests .

Although I still get a rush every time I see an article with one of these photos, I've now become envious of Antana Coins, as they are now ruling it! I'm not sure I understand exactly how the choices are made on which photos are selected for these online articles, but email me if you want to discuss my theories. Hope the keychain sales (and all your sales) are going well!

BitPappa, I LOVE your product. I was just wondering if you considered making a run of these with customized QR codes on them? It would be so incredibly awesome to have a receive address on my keychain. My friends and I use a lot of crypto-currensies, and I know a bunch of people who would also love this. P.S. I'm thinking about ordering a Litecoin one off of Amazon, I guess you'll know which way I'm leaning if you ship one in the next day or so to MI 48350. P.S.S. You should put up more pictures of the Litecoin keychain.

Sorry if the Bitcoin keychains seems pricey, hyperdallas. My primary goal was for keychain resellers (CryptoAnarchy.com and BTCTrinkets.com) to have the best prices on the keychains. These sites only accept Bitcoin, and I want to increase people actually buying stuff with Bitcoin. The more people who actually use Bitcoin for day-to-day commerce (not just speculating and trading), I think the more legitimate Bitcoin becomes. I also want to support these merchants in general. Anyway, you still might think the keychains are pricey, but that's why they cost 20% more on Amazon. bmoconno, I appreciate your thoughts, a lot of people have asked about custom QR codes. I think the only economically feasible way to do this would be with 3D printing (and for metals, even that isn't super-cheap). But I'll take this opportunity to do some market research: How much would you pay for an all-metal keychain with your own public key QR code? Per your request, here's another photo of the Litecoin keychains (photos of these keychains have now been used on CoinDesk.com and DailyDot.com!). But I'm trying not to push the Litecoin keychains too much on this Bitcoin thread (I am also waiting for a deal to finalize, before really pushing them).

BitPappa, Thanks for the additional picture! Order placed! As for your question, I'd be willing to pay ~$1 over the Amazon price if the back had an inset square with a high quality QR sticker, and I'd see paying an additional $4-6 over Amazon price if it was all metal.

Thanks for your input and your order! The sticker idea (or something like a Bitcoin locket, but with a QR code instead of a photo you put in yourself) have both swirled in my brain a lot. I think it's economically impossible to create one-off all-metal keychains at a price close to the price-point that would work for you.

Just wanted to stop back in and say that I got my Litecoin keychain and it's very sharp looking. Thanks! If this picture is too ridiculously huge, let me know and I'll remove it or size it down.

The cryptoanarchy.com Black Friday sale is on and is 10% off orders over $45 with code bf10 and 20% off orders over $99 with code bf20. This applies to these keychains of course!

There is a meetup in Long Beach tomorrow evening. If you aren't going I could pick up some to resell? Not everyone just wants silver and gold.
