You are a scammer and no, you didn't do the work. The developer did the work which you want to take credit for by compiling their work and distributing the executable, breaking the GPL license and screwing the developer out of his voluntary fee.
While I hear your point, I think 1% of ALL MINING CAPACITY OF THE ENTIRE WORLD is wayyy too much for someone who took a miner and modified it for a new algo. The 1% is like owning 100 x 7GPU mining rigs or something like that. The miner fee is OK but should be a lower reasonable amount. In case of JUST XMR, the 1% Developer fee currently equates to over $110,000 PER WEEK with ZERO electricity cost. That is just ONE coin. No copy/modify/fork/paste software developer deserves that much unless they are Satoshi himself. Xmr stak developers did not took a miner and modify it, they wrote it all from zero ground. So they deserve the 1%. No one writes anything from scratch. Its all copied over and over from existing GPL. 1300 Cryptos and there are 5 only ideas behind them. CGMiner may have been unique in its own way.

The latest DEV fee for XMR stak is 2%... These guys are forcing you to mine for them for using their software. Should be illegal but hey it's the land of the free.

Download and compile it from official Github... You can also find the other versions in my guide and just like AEON versions there are also with 1% fee. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2126975.0P.S. The file is deleted but I hope you offer source codes with those binaries, GNU-GPL v3... then is everything fine.

The latest DEV fee for XMR stak is 2%... These guys are forcing you to mine for them for using their software. Should be illegal but hey it's the land of the free. No, they are not "forcing you". That's a voluntary choice you make and agree to by choosing their one-click binary download. It's not like they're the only XMR mining software in existence. You are free to support another project that provides binaries with no fees. If you do the work to modify and compile, you are free to make whatever personal changes you would like - they even walk you through how to do it, which makes people's arguments even more ludicrous. To the claims of the devs not actually doing any work: you only need to see the commit logs to see the amount of effort that has gone into this software. Hundreds of man-hours so that you can click a button and gain credit on a blockchain ledger. Why do you not see value in giving them a modest amount of support and incentive to continue to invest into the software?

this is why we can't have nice things.
read the instructions and compile yourself if you want 0% dev donation, you might learn something along the way in the process.
tip the fucking devs, don't be a freeloader.

Contains virus. Eset blocks it right away. Eset don't block official XMR-STAK either my build version so I wouldn't try that! The hashrate improvements might be only shown not real...

Dont know, what is official, but for example this https://github.com/fireice-uk/xmr-stak/releases/download/v2.2.0/xmr-stak-win64.zip on virustotal.com are marked as 33/67... ... ... (probably because its released for some time now) Modified version: https://www.sendspace.com/file/qvnnui on virustotal are marked as 5/68, in details: Endgame: malicious (high confidence) Ikarus: PUA.Generic ZoneAlarm: not-a-virus:HEUR:RiskTool.Win32.BitMiner.gen ESET-NOD32: a variant of Win64/BitCoinMiner.CH potentially unsafe Kaspersky: not-a-virus:HEUR:RiskTool.Win32.BitMiner.gen

Go and try it... This is first version of XMR-STAK that Eset blocks me for a long time... if there is source code upload it somewhere I will look at the changes. If there is no source code it's against GNU GPL so it's 100% scam.

I just did that, pasted 3files from modified version to the existing xmr-stak folder.
Previously my one of the Gigabyte VEGA 64 OC model was able to reach 1926H/s, but now with modified version it is: 2032H/s (not overclocked, but undervolted..)
I dont think, that it is just a number on the screen for the show..

This is very interesting. Had you done the reg mod? What is your memspeed at? Can you share the settings that you are using for the config?

No source code in GNU GPL lincesed miner... there couldn't be bigger SCAM alert! I would believe it once I got source code for that and build it by myself...

[/quote] If you think so, then probably need some test pool, where only one miner with MOD version are connected. And then need to monitor hashrate, and is there traceable additional wallet activity... I compared this MOD on two independent systems. On both there was ~ 5.5% extra H/s, interesting. A few minutes ago i found this mode there too: https://github.com/c0d3rmod/xmr-stak-c0d3r

If you can use google, then: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VgK8dhKmxc0In comments there is a link to the modified exe: https://github.com/laytoneverson/XmrStakBuildLooks like, it is enough - just to replace xmr-stak.exe file. And you got 0% miner. To me author seems trusty, because of public available info and family photos.. (of course that can be stolen identity, but i don't think so..) Just saw, that github link are down, yesterday it worked. Uploaded just exe (config file contains author personal info, maybe thats why he removed..) https://files.fm/u/9np9px5c (will be available 2 months from now)
