The idea of bitcoin was to make transactions cheap. with 0.001 tx fee it's become more expensive than fiat. What's the point then? That's why it needs to be scaled. You can't expect people to be doing it for free, so there is no problem if team makes profit, if the project works. I agree with you that useless forks have no place in crypto and it's only because of greedy founders, but this fork offers something different. You forgot about hybrid consensus, which in combination with LN and AS makes the project quite unique. I'm still waiting for their implementation of all these features, so let's see.
