Ethereum is fast enough for now, if you consider other big cryptocurrencies. You only have to use enough gas for your transactions.

ETH is never slow man it just depends on your gas price and even at that i dont think i have ever have issues with that.Just try bitcoin for example thats slow and serious transaction fee at times

I think if placing a bigger gas price would not be slow and would be quick to transact, it's just a trivial matter and very easy to fix for ethereum transactions can be faster.

I do not think that ethreium is slow, it does lags sometimes when there is huge rush of some ICO, but otherwise its okay. The fastest though is waves blockchain, try it!

The network is invaded by crypto kitties. They are eating all the blocks, it's a shame, the network can sustain such attack !

Ethereum is pretty fast comparing to bitcoin. You could make GWEI 0.1 and 100 000 - 200 000 gas limits. The transaction would be quite fast and cheap. I use this when need to send some shitcoins in EtherDelta/

I am doing trades on ehterdelta where the default gas price is 4 Gwei. The network in the last few days is terribly slow I remember 1 week ago I was making trades on 1 Gwei and even 0.1 and the transactions were done within minutes, now with 4 Gwei I have to wait like 20 minutes and sometimes the transactions get canceled. My question is what is the reason for this? Is it temporary or it will be like this for the near future?
Ethereum too is now following the footsteps of bitcoin. The miners of ethereum too want to increase the gas so could gain something out of transactions. But yes 1 Gwei is just too cheap to transfer your ETH. Your transaction of 4 Gwei might have got stuck on the pool because I have not heard that such a transaction taking that long to process.

Maybe somehow your transaction got stuck, but ETH is not slow at all in compare with BTC.

I would say increase your gas price to see higher speeds. But bear in mind this this is all still quite immature technology. We are still in the early days, and scaling solutions are planned.

I have face a lot of problem during two days on using etherdelta that's why I can't make any transaction on it. I am using myetherwallet for transactions there was no problem but how can I increase gas amount on etherdelta....?

Some ICOs delayed their token distribution because of this. Is it spam attack or what?

For one thing these kitties may be clogging up the network and for another setting a gwei price of 4 is super low and I wouldn't even attempt that ever. Try something above 10 gwei that should give you decent speed, it may cost more but a transaction getting through is better than no transaction at all.

You'd better check if that's still the case. Because times have changed! The network is full of cats.

I already experienced that mate but when I checked my Gas it was 8 gwei then when I increase it to 12 gwei my transaction became successful after 1 hour of doing it. So, once your transaction is not happening just increase your gas rate only mate.
