I've put down a buy order yesterday of 0.60 euro/btc. Now I see on the chart that it recently went down to 0.45 euro/btc, so I expected that my order was handled, but after logging in I see that my order is still there.
Bug?
Hmm, don't think so, the book looks consistent to me right now.
Would have been buggy if there were outstanding matching orders left.

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

What is the order matching algorithm? The highest-price bid orders should have priority over lower-priced ones. I remember there were bids above 0.6 EUR for a long time. A 0.45 order should not have slipped over them if everything was right.

So, the best way then is to overflow the order book with buy orders for all prices and delete them when one has a hit?  Wink

Normally, highest priced buy orders are matched first.
Code is at https://github.com/davout/bitcoin-central/blob/master/app/models/trade_order.rb (lines 82 and 137) feel free to have a look.

Unfortunately it seems that davout has kind of got lost interest in his website.  He is very little responsive.

Convenient...  I have money there that I've been unable to withdraw for days. I understand it takes manual effort to process EUR, but LRUSD/LREUR and BTC should be no problem. It seems something is wrong on the server, preventing even LR and BTC withdrawal. If he's not going to keep the site working, he needs to shut it down and return everyone's money. Or at least let us know what he is going to do about it.

I wonder if Davout needs some kind of help. E.g. server maintenance, finances for payout (little cache for payout), etc.

Thanks for the info ptmhd. I hadn't tried to translate anything from the French threads.

Davout just replied to another forum topic specifically about the site problems, and he has fixed the site for now. I'm relieved to be able to withdraw at least my BTC so far...  EDIT: and my LRUSD also, so I'm ok now.

I'm actually planning on adding whatever people currency want by letting people emit e-currency of their choice and then just acting as the trading platform.
