You either didn't let the whole chain download before mining or you just had orphans

Every was synced.. both popped a bubble then the ledger went blank. Orphans are usually labeled as such.

Btw.. the difficulty seemed to be bouncing up/down a fair bit.

orphans... I usually see them in a coin launch, where a lot of people compete each other, in stable conditions usually no such things.

I avoid any coin that deletes or edits the log. eg. MEM was terrible for that with as much as 25% of accepted shares not registering.

Orphans only become that after 1 or more confirmations (usually >5) and should remain on the ledger regardless.

Yes only at low diff you get orphans, this is like where a coin just launched with low diff.

Yes at low diff it's easy to get orphans, especially when many people mining at the same time. On the other hand, because of the diff swing, people are able to mining this coin without the need of a mining pool, even the high-point diff can be quite high.

Version 1.2 is released (download links updated). It added more checkpoints so the client is more secure. Also some small bug fixes. This is not a mandatory upgrade, but you are still encouraged to upgrade to get a more secure version.
