timestamping the data and tracking of the ip and copyright will definetely be features for success

Due to the complexity of existing copyright laws, which typically vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, there is a need for a system that can ensure the content authorship of its creator beyond the “standard” realm of copyright laws that cover specific common media, such as audio and music content. Some copyrights or creative works are not sufficiently protected today, so individuals or companies creating new content, for example a new algorithm, might not be able to secure their innovative data from being copied or exploited. Moreover, in some cases, a copyright holder might not be entitled to seek damages due to infringement of copyrights, this situation might occur for instance if a copyright holder did not publish and/or register the work prior to the infringement. In such a case, the holder might not be entitled to statutory damages available by law. With the NKOR platform, content creators can safeguard their intellectual creation rights, as it will be incorporated to the blockchain with an immutable timestamp.

Thank you so much for pointing this out! we will fix this. Regarding your question- it's under development. MVP that shows the main aspects of functionality will be ready by the end of Feb. Alpha will be ready during Q2 2018.

NKOR is a decentralized market that protects the ownership of digital information
What is the NKOR project? What can it give to content creators? NKOR is ambitious: it uses an innovative technique of indexing "in several layers", and at the expense of the hash there is a so-called "disguise" (protection) of content.
Authentication data is recorded in the unit. In addition, the time stamps are added as evidence of origin.

That is, the content that is uploaded to NKOR will have its confirmation of origin and ownership, recorded on the block. Later it can be opened,
it is publicly verified and analyzed in terms of comparison with other copies of the same content in order to track plagiarism and piracy.

On existing platforms, mostly "moderates" live people-moderators. But in the draft NKOR, the rate is placed on smart contracts to form a complete ecosystem.
This ecosystem will give authors of original content the opportunity to securely distribute their information and receive revenue as this information spreads.

In addition, the NKOR project will include a decentralized market module that can function without the need for any centralized authority,
and giving the content-authors securely protected trade, implementation, providing access to their information to third parties without fear that their copyright will be violated.

fine question! True, they are focusing on the same issue- copyrights. But, as we understand it- they are just creating a content registering by hashing, so there will be no social network or content platform around it. We aim to be a social platform (like the platforms we all use today to upload our content to), and we do not focus just on images (but all digital creations). The main feature they provide called "Content as a Smart Contract" - it is the ability to transfer content license, and so are we.

It is not about the difference in the algorithm itself, it is about the set of algorithms which can be improved or provided by the community, we will propose our default algorithms to use at the beginning. So, it is also about the way of the implementation, which allows almost everyone to participate in such indexing and analysis
