Put me down for another 2 shares, please, in addition to my previous 3 (God, I love this ASIC mining).

If you haven't seen this already take a look at a bitfury asic hashing (https://bitcentury.io/blog). It's not being driven very hard, as they have no cooling yet, but still running at 1.2GH/s! 1.03 A at 0.8 V = 0.824 W - looking good Grin.

Hi All, we now have a product listing on bitfurystrikesback.com for the 25GH/s starter kit for October delivery (http://www.bitfurystrikesback.com/product/25gh-miner-starter-kit-october-delivery). Thanks Punin Grin! This gives us something to aim for, which is great. It's also nice to see that the starter kit + H-boards is still the cheapest way to build a 400GH/s miner, so I think this is still a good approach.

No worries, we've got a way to go yet.

Looks like the July chips will ship very soon (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=251966.msg2739933#msg2739933) and design files etc. will provided for the DIYers who buy them. Looks like we will start to see some of these devices working quite soon - exciting times Grin!!

Updated the OP to give some details on potential GH/s per BTC for a full 400GH/s miner at current BTC exchange rates.

Hi All. I've devided to scrap the GB fee for this group buy and have updated the OP accordingly (there is still an escrow fee for John K.). In the end it's been less work than anticipated to get together, so this seems fair. I also want us to be offering the best possible GH/s per BTC that we can be to try to get things moving.

If we buy a 400GH/s miner via this route then the GH/s per BTC for this GB looks very competitive for bitfury kit (see the OP for some numbers), particularly as Felipeo and pajak666's share sales are now closed (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=254929.msg2714038#msg2714038). Tell your friends to come and join Wink!

Whats the current situation with the GB? Any sign of Bigdaddyaz's payment so we can get this kit on order if at all possible?

Hi, we are still open, but seem to have stalled for the moment. Most of the bitfury GBs have been slow moving it seems, which I find surprising given that bitfury miners have good GH/s per BTC and have demonstrated working hardware. Maybe things will change when bitfurystrikesback start shipping units out next month. I've waived the GB fee to make this GB as competitive as possible (I think we have a good offer actually) and have made a couple of changes to the updates section of the OP to try to make things a little clearer. However, this may still need a little work and I will take a look at this tonight. Bigdaddyaz has not confirmed with me what he would like to do. For the time being I'm happy to keep his pledge in, but will put any paid up group members ahead of him in the queue.

If nobody has any objections to me being part of the GB in addition to coordinating it I will put a couple of BTC in myself tonight. Please let me know if you feel that this is a conflict of interest.

No conflict of interest - having you on board gives me more confidence that you will see it through with all speed (not that I had any real doubts).

OK, if others are fine with this then I'm in. I've updated the status with some shares for me. Unfortunately I've had no time to update the OP to make it a bit clearer, I'll take a look at this tomorrow morning. I was planning to reorganise the updates section as a summary and updates section and leave the fine print below this as is. Thanks for your confidence btw. I will do what I can to get things ordered quickly. If you have any suggestions then please let me know.

Take a look at some more bitfury-based hardware hashing away (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=228677.msg2796663#msg2796663). Cscape is doing some great work (for pleasure rather than as a commercial venture I believe) with gen 2 hardware designs. It's encouraging to know that bitfury is one of only a few manufacturers to have demonstrated working chips (only ASICMiner, Avalon, BFL and bitfury I think - apologies if I've missed anybody off the list) - and the chips are working in several different pcbs too. Bitfury is looking good at the moment.

As long as it's just a hug I think that would be OK Wink.

How many shares are there in total, how many have been sold and how many are left?

If you don't put this info in the OP it doesn't give a sense of urgency to buy the shares. I know you have a list of the people that bought shares but I couldn't find where you say what the total amount of shares is. Other GB even put "X shares left" in the Subject line and this is very helpful.
