Do you plan on having the code reviewed/audited with outside sources to make sure there are no issues? If not this would be a good thing to do, maybe give bounties for it. Also, is the new code open source? We also need a reddit sub

Yes the entire code would be open-source and will be published on https://github.com/deroproject repository.

It is not a hashrate that general miners can enter.

This is OK, we have not implemented DNS check points as of now.
