Hey dev,

Any idea what the timing will be for the release of a GUI wallet?  I find cli wallets to be extremely difficult to use and i am definitely interested in this project.

Let me know!

Thanks

Pls start first with low diff port and let it auto adjust. It take little time but settles.

Hi, any simple guide to setup a wallet on win ?

Thanks

*Just download the wallet packages.
*extract somewhere.
* Run "derod.exe" first, let it sync to the network until complete
(You will read the msg " Your node is xxxx blocks (xx days) behind), take few hours depends on your network.
When it done.. don't close this windows yet.
you will see some msg " Youu are now  Synchronized with the network, You may now start dero-wallet-cli"
* Run "Dero-Wallet-Cli.exe" , follow the instruction to create your new wallet. don't forget to backup your private key, and write down your wallet id.
That's All.

Thanks!

I took you up on your offer to check out Dero and threw a little bit of hashpower your way. I have to echo the concern that difficulty ratchets up too high relative to ones hashrate. For example, difficulty starts at 100 on port 3333 but climbs to >100k after 7 minutes. With a single RX 570 (~700 H/s) this results in several minutes between shares. While I understand intellectually that higher difficulty shares are worth more, from an irrational/emotional perspective I'd like to see difficulty set so that my miner gets a share every 30 to 60 seconds.

As for the dero.pool.live pool, I like the auto-refresh and estimated mining profits calculator (esp. since this coin isn't on whattomine, minethecoin, etc.). However, last night around 03:00 GMT the pool seemed to have gotten overloaded to the point xmr-stak gave up on it and I woke up this morning to an idle rig which, let me tell you, is annoying as all get out (it seems that rigs never crash when you are awake and watching them - amirite?).

With your current hastrate, maybe you can try solo mining. maybe took 2-3 day to found a block.

  Welcome.
Updated the pool diff, try now.
We are continuously monitoring the DERO NW and pool but we didn't find any ping loss in last 2 days. if CPU overload is the case we will start logging our CPU 24 hrs and check for anomaly.

I can feel how annoying it to wake up in the morning and see wasted efforts and also to make a bad start of the day in addition.

Let me know if any more changes.

Thank you.

Updated the pool diff, try now.

Okay, I restarted the miner about 15 minutes ago and difficulty once again climbed up to 100001; I restarted it just now - difficulty started at 2000 on port 3333 - so we'll see (lol - already up to 16000 as I type this).

We are continuously monitoring the DERO NW and pool but we didn't find any ping loss in last 2 days. if CPU overload is the case we will start logging our CPU 24 hrs and check for anomaly.

I can assure you it wasn't my internet connection because I have 3 separate computers mining right now and yours was the only one that kicked off. I wish I had taken a screen shot of what xmr-stak reported as the problem, but I have retries set to a 30 second interval with 3 max and it basically gave up. I've since changed it to 5 retries with 60s between them.

Let us see what could be done more to solve this.

What exactly is the reason behind the high price tag? There has been no new code written yet. It's just a Monero restart with promises.

I am not saying it's not gonna make it, but I would like to see more than a plan for Q1, something happening on github, Some testnet versions of rewritten algo or anything.
Then it would explain the hashrate and the price, but now I can only see hype. Good luck anyways!

Is everyone else still having issues pulling out of the exchange? I can't pull out of the exchange to get Dero out so the only option I have to get my money is to get it into BTC. Is this the same for everyone? The exchange and the coin is having a lot of issues.

Yes , there are withdrawal issues with exchange. They are working on it but may be holidays taking some time.
Pls let us know other issues so that they can be fixed.

 Exchange withdrawal are working normal.

I'm having issues with depositing to Stocks.Exchange. I haven't seen anything on Stock.Exchange's twitter. Did you read somewhere that withdrawals are working normally? Did it say anything about deposits? Is anyone else having issues?

First of all welcome to the project.
Second ,For a plan of Q1, naturally you need at-least Q1 time to deliver something. But progress should be available for the time-period already passed & for that  we will release the update of our progress in next week on being completing 1 month of our DERO journey.

For high hashrate , Would like to add just my personal views that peoples have trust in us and seeing that trust we have changed lots of our life plans which includes real life career also and canceling overseas Christmas holidays plans which we have planned and booked for more than several months.
We are just going to be one month old in next few days.
Cryptonote Core protocol is too complex and big project but you will be surprised to see our one month progress report next week.
Hope we will get your comment after that.

Thank you.
