I think you'd better stick to bitcoin for now because altcoins are drowning in the red sea. I think altcoins are going to have a hard time recovering specially if bitcoin reaches $20k before this year ends. But if your instincts tells you to invest on bitcoins and altcoins then go for it, you still get to decide in the end though.

Altcoins are only struggling because of how well bitcoin is performing, it's always the case and as soon as bitcoin cools off and goes sidewise then altcoins will shoot up in a similar but not quite so ridiculous fashion. Right now I'd be terrified of buying any bitcoin because it's getting kind of crazy.

yes you can still buy bitcoin , cause bitcoin can can cross 20k$ so still have a chance for get profit from btc, you can buy btc. You can also buy ltc at your own risk. ltc can touch 500/1000$ in 2018.

Wait until next year, too many speculation bro, this is end of the year. BTC/ LTC is good but the right moment is not now, patience and keep your money into currency not cryptocurrency. I suggest not LTC but please buy ETH, is more valuable than LTC. Even ETH price is high but this coin is the best alternative after bitcoin. Try it and enjoy your activity.

Dude, this is a bitcoin forum full of people who are so bullish on btc (and desperate for it), that you're not going to get any answers that are useful.   Everybody is going to tell you yes, including myself.   I think despite it being at its ATH, it's still worth buying, because the bull market isn't done by a long shot.  We'll probably go to $20k or higher by the end of 2018.  Don't come back and blame me if it doesn't, though.  It's risky as hell but it's made a lot of folks very rich.

Bitcoin will always be good to buy because the best thing is yet to come and for sure in the future bitcoin will become more valuable. Ltc is also great to hold it although its pumping right now and for me better to wait for the correction before you buy it, also make your own study which can help you more on your trading strategy.

There is better option today but to get into bitcoin market. Its gaining wider audience and getting popular and don't missed the opportunity to profit because the market is very bullish because of all this financial institutions circling around bitcoin because they want to get a piece of the action. Bitcoin is dominating the market with more than 50% of the total marketcap, which means everyone is going crazy. Just buy what your budget allows, and then wait for dips to buy more. Most of us are looking at $20,000 mark at the end of the year. As far as LTC, looks like you the made the correct decision of investing on it because the price is mooning to the surprise of many. Yeah. If you're planning for a long term investment, it is always the best time to buy bitcoins. Don't think about what's happening in the current situation. Don't be bothered by the small pumps and dumps because what will matter is what will happen in the future. What it's price is going to be in the future.
