I am wondering if all those links people put in their signature space are actually worth anything? Do you ever click on links in ads in signature space? Or do you just have the signatures turned off?

I do click on peoples' links in their signatures (usually out of curiosity) but I don't click on their paid ads' links.

Signature space available for rent.

I used to have a paid ad in my sid. It's pretty obvious. It looks something like this:

You can also misuse it to Tip someone, but obviously not from your Wallet
and most People click a few hundred Link's per Day, one more doesn't matter.
I click if i don't know what it is

Most Referal Links got a Random Number or Letters when you hover over it.

Bitcointalk uses SSL, so no - HTTP REFERER is not passed through. However, my CoinChat advertisement contains the r:sigad tracking code, and many users are from my signature.

I make my signatures colourful, interesting and unobtrusive.
I include WhiskChat (which is basically CoinChat, a service by TradeFortress) because I made the client, and I include Inputs because it's cool. TF has ignored me on Bitcointalk, so I don't think he'll be paying me for either of those Wink
I'd be glad to share the code for my sig, if you want it. Smiley

I never click on forum links, you never know where you will arrive, if the website is safe or stealing your personal data.
I am paranoid, I guess.

I voted "Yes, but not often." Then I see if you're asking about if people click "ads" in signatures. It's pretty easy to tell if it is an ad or not, and if it is, I don't click it. I suppose the only "ad-like" one I click is organofcorti's signature link to his blog, but it's because it almost always has something of value on it.
