Not at all! Women empowerment is much stronger today than in the past! Women are much more involved in the society than we already know. Men can't just accept the fact that women can also do what men do. Especially in the crypto world! I knew a lot of women engaging in trading, joining bounty campaigns, and gambling!

It's true, for now everything is different because women now can do everything and sometimes more than what men can do.

By numbers, currently, there are definitely more males in the crypto space than females..
Any crypto meetup/event/chat I've been a part of, the females are heavily outnumbered by the males, but I definitely think this will start to even out over time. The entire IT space as a whole is more male dominated than female so I think its only natural we'd see this reflect in the crypto space, especially in these early days (ie pre-mass adoption).

IMO, the whole issue is insignificant.. Its like saying there are mostly 25-40 year olds in the crypto  space..
Who cares? Its just something for the media to blab on about because 'gender equality' is their flavour of the month topic..

I do agree with OP that there are certainly more females in the space than is talked about, and there are certainly females doing big things in crypto.
Take Dr. Gemma Green for example, one of the founders of Power Ledger, one of the most successful projects of 2017 and Australia's biggest ICO to date.

From the consumer side of things, I (female) am the person in my house/family who is the crypto junkie and I'm the most successful trader/investor within my immediate circle so far (yes, most of the others are males).

Some of the comments here are right in saying, us females probably just aren't as vocal about it.

PS:

I don't think that there is more woman here in the crypto world because woman are fragile in making decisions. We all know that woman will choose focus on their make up that the bitcoin and that is a possible reality.

Dumbest comment I've read all week!  Roll Eyes
You think there are less women in crypto because we are 'fragile in making decisions'..?
Haha! I nearly choked on my coffee from laughing so hard at your stupidity..

.... now I better go and focus on my makeup Roll Eyes Tongue

women are also now involving in crypto world. it seems good.  but only few are seen in this industry. maximum women are busy with household work. but now  they are changing and coining online  work compet with man.
We cannot determined the volume of women in this cryptocurrency industry. Yes there are only few be seen because of the anonymous we couldnt count. However, most of women are into use of online because of wanted to earn money.

Agree with you, the only reason why we are here in this crypto world wether a men or a women is that we wanted to earn. We want to earn to sustain what we need in life. Women right now do have different views of life as compared before. Women of today are not just engage in some household chores but also we can do things that men able to do. Taking good care of the family, working and doing bitcoin, it is just a matter of managing time well on how to become productive through some descent means for the benefit of the family.

Every so often I run into an article that talks about how few women are involved in this industry compared to men. My suspicion is that there are more women involved than anyone realizes; they're just not putting their gender front and center.

What do you all think?

Women are the part and parcel of Modern civilisation. Every sphere of lives women have a glorious contribution. Not only agricultural but also freelouncing too. In the sector of crypto-currency women have a great contribution.

I think Catherine Xueli Li will be one of the most important women in the blockchain community. She is currently founder and ceo of Thekey TKY project and she is supported by various Chinese governmental institutions. I am strong supporter of this project and follower of this lady. I agree with you that many women join the crypto industry but they do not include their gender openly, even I myself am a woman, and I never explain to this forum that I am a woman, because I think it is not important, even people people do not care.
Actually sex is not important in the crypto industry, what matters is how we advance crypto and work in the crypto industry properly.

women in the IT world are quite lower than men involvement, cryptocurrency is more of a full time job, lot women are involve and busy with family and kids chores, also women believe more on what they can see and touch, like teh real Gold, women seems to be skeptical about digital currency and investment, over time as the  cryptocurrency awareness increase more women will be involve .

I am not happy to see a gender war when it comes to crypto currency,if anyone is interested then they are more than welcome, irrespective of gender caste what every it may be,i cannot understand why anyone could bring a distinction on who is using and so on. There might be a lot of women or they might not be,who cares ,at the end of it,everyone is welcome here.

Women nowadays are flexible enough to do what man can. They capable in doing thing especially doing business or whatever interest them. They competitive same as men. Bitcoin is for everyone so women is not an exempted.

That's right. Women should raise their children and keep the house in order. Leave business and digital technologies to those who understand and have experience. I'm not a snob, but to each his own.

Indeed. Bitcoin is for everyone. In this field, the gender is not important. It will always be your eagerness to learn and succeed. Your perseverance and patience. No need to state your gender.  It will not voice out your success. The number of women here may be greater than what we think. The world is changing as well as the perspective of people.

Nahh I disagree, you can do these campaigns in the comfort of your home. Women are too flexible for you to say that they're just for house and children. I have to say that I know a lot of woman who can multitask lots of stuffs. Doing houseworks, taking care of their children, but is doing business at the same time. So why not do it in crypto right? I see women in ICOs and there are some who's in the actual team of the ICO. You thought that cryptocurrency industry is all about the money and token? I bet women who's on the business and programming/ web development side can rock this as well.  Cheesy Grin Grin

I think bitcoin and alll other cryptocurrencies are for everyone regardless with its gender. So long as they can peform the job then its no big deal. There are plenty of woman here maybe because there are home base or stay at home moms who wants to earn through online job or homebased work. Bitcoin fits the requirements.

The presence of bitcoin has changed a lot of things, but there are unique facts because bitcoin users are predominantly male, this is because women are not interested in trying new things and are at risk, and the presence of bitcoin actually makes women confused because many countries are banned bitcoin.
