i prefer to get at-least 50 % profit. i usually sell half of my coins at 50 % prices are up. balance i hold for long tun or at-least 5x profit. at current market condition i would prefer to sell my coins at 20 % profit only and that is enough now.

At the moment I sell alternative coins with the least profit. I do not expect big profits, because I understand that this is not possible in a falling market.

To be able to work in sales, you need to analyze the market. And be sure to follow the trend of the market and calculate your income.

I always act on strategy. If the price of the asset increased by 50-100%, then in most cases I will sell about 50% of the coins, for the remaining 50% I will wait for the growth of 300-500-1000%. We must not forget to take profit, greed won't bring good results.

It all depends on the coin I hold. If I hold a coin for a long term, then I wait for a profit of at least 3-4 times and then sell the coins.

For me it deoends on what I am doing right at the moment. If I am in for short time trading then as soon as I see a good pump I would sell my holdings right away. If I am doing long term holdings then I might sell it when I am contented on the profit I will receive. But in the end it depends on what the coin I am holding.

If these are new coins, then I immediately sell it when the price has grown at least 2 times. I do not like to take risks.

I sell only if the price has changed in a big way in x 3 x 5 times than I bought . Less I see no reason to sell

The best time for you to sell your altcoins is in a bull market at a new all time high for the coins and that is final. If you are here to make money then you should know that when you buy coins you are buying them in wait for a new all time high and that is how you should be counting your profits and making sure that you make the most amount of profit

The best solution is to keep your coins for 1-2 years and not sell, then you are likely to become rich.

If the price is that high then I would sell the coins. I would not want to have a coin costing that high now and not sell it.

I look at the situation. In each case, the criteria may be different. sometimes even sell at a loss. For example, if the project disappointed me and I do not see any further prospects in it.

It's simple with technical analysis. Take MA50 and MA200 lines and if MA50 hits MA200 line to the below, it's a bear signal.

For me, when I see some good pumps I will never let that passed by, because even a glimpse of a profit, if it is a profit, it is good for your investment. Then the decision relies on you. For me I am contented even for a small profit gain.

Profit is the goal for purchasing altcoins. Fix up your gain percentage from the coin and sell profit, and when you are having indepth research of the coin you can repeat the procedure again.

for a trader I don't think I've to make a lot of money to sell their coins because if you are satisfied with the profit we get then sell immediately because if you just hold it it's too risky (I mean besides BTC)

Every crypto investor buys a token at a certain price. This should be the first guiding rule to determine at which price to sell. Based on the investor's profit satisfaction, decides at which price to sell the coin. Hence, an investor will continue to hold the coin until that price goal is met.

great answer but everyone certainly has a different target , for me I am more comfortable to do short trading terms, actually do not have such a big target, just enough if $ 2 - $ 3 passes the price I buy I will sell it.

Just wondering if ya'll have a typical formula you go by or a certain X percentage profit or loss.
I've been playing around with coins for just under a month now. $23750 total investment and currently up just under 10k in profit. One of the coins (IOTA) has gone up about 288%. Obviously it would suck if it crashed but it would equally suck to sell if it continues to grow.
Just wondering what a lot of you folks do. I'm considering investing another 25 or 50k into coins. Ideally I'd like to net 15k a month off them but I know that may not be realistic on a monthly basis.
When you see your coins turning green that is when you should sell it but first make sure you make profit out of your coins. You will know the value of your coins through the efforts you have made to gain it.
