You could follow your instincts or the charts and predictions.
It's also safe to have a profit and loss limit. Capital preservation should be your goal.
Technical analysis is something which can help you in knowing the market value of any of the crypto coin in the future and that you can plan according to the results which you get.

The best time to sell your altcoins or any other crypto coin is the time when you see the market turning into green and that you are having your desired amount of profit by selling them. Do not make any such decision which can then result in loss of money or unsatisfactory results.

I'm counting on not selling my coins for a long time. I am waiting for the time when they will be legalized in all major countries. Then their price will increase very much and you can think about selling.

I think it always depends on your decision making when is the rigth time to sell your coins in exchange site but most of the day traders here they always trade there coin as long as they gain a little bit profit to invest for another coins. otherwise if we are ordinary trader not always do exchange we can say thatbthis time is not a good hit for trading coins due to market condition which dump so much the value.

I usually see from the market. If it is green, and price also was nearing what I target, then that's the right time. Here is my more often to play for hodling. So rather wait till the price or market green. then it's a good time to be selling the coins.

Just wondering if ya'll have a typical formula you go by or a certain X percentage profit or loss.

I've been playing around with coins for just under a month now. $23750 total investment and currently up just under 10k in profit. One of the coins (IOTA) has gone up about 288%.  Obviously it would suck if it crashed but it would equally suck to sell if it continues to grow.

Just wondering what a lot of you folks do. I'm considering investing another 25 or 50k into coins. Ideally I'd like to net 15k a month off them but I know that may not be realistic on a monthly basis.

Always set goals that are attainable, Make sure to always check the market of the crypto that you're investing at.

To chop it off, setting attainable goals will help prevent you from overdoing things which basically happens when you're too excited about the profit that you can have. You can aim for a couple of thousands for the first months then work your way from there. This method will also reduce the risk of losing too much of an investment just in case the crypto that you're investing at crashes.

Checking the market of the crypto regularly will also give you a better understanding on how the charts move and will give you a strong wisdom on when to make your move or not.

If the coin is raised in price in 2-3 times it is definitely better to sell. And then, if possible, buy back.

When the price has been achieved as my goal set, I will sell altcoins

This year I did not sell yet anything. I do not feel that I had to do it as I am waiting for the better profits. Suspect that till December 2018 I will not touch any altcoin. Probably, I'll add some alts to my portfolio.

I will sell my altcoin when the market price recovers and can be profitable because then when altcoin prices decline we better wait and hold altcoin prices and as altcoin prices go up we can sell altcoin and benefit

Trying to predict crypto market is not easy, most of the time you have to trust your intuition. But what you should really be doing is set a target sell price at the time of purchase. This way you won't have to worry about the price constantly and could hold the coins patiently without worrying about anything.

I sell when I see that the price of the coin is at the stage of the pamp. I fix profits and if I am sure that this coin has a future, I buy again when the price goes down.
I never sell cheap.

It's a easy matter. When the price of altcoins is high, then it's time to sell my altcoins. Thus I understand the time for selling altcoins.

It is very easy to know when i'm sell my altcoin . if i'm buy $2 par coin and when it is reach $3 i'm sell on that time.

Yeah you right, if you think you can have a profit if you can sell your coins because the price of your coins is good enough, definitely that`s  the great time to sell your coins to make real money that we can use to survive in the real world.

I usually set a psychological price for myself when buying cryptocurrencies. Whether it is high or low, if I reach this price I will immediately sell my holding tokens! This is my method!

You always monitor altcoin prices, until the price of coins you high you sell them for profit, do not expect too high prices, greed they will kill you. So if you can afford to sell your pennies immediately.

First for me it was really hard without any experience, but now I am able to study the market, research trends and patterns, look for news and big events in crypto worldwide. On top of that, recently I've found a platform, which I believe is gonna make it all more convenient and quicker - Cryptics. The guys out there are doing AI forecasting, trading engine and other cool stuff. From time to time I tend to look at forecasts, and their accuracy pretty impresses me! I'm counting in this service very much, hope it's gonna get better and better with the flow of time
