We have tried our best to avoid chain-split at the moment. Master-node payment enforcement will begin from December 16, 2017 12:00:00 AM GMT+00:00, more documentation about master-node setup will be updated soon on the forum and our official website.

There is high risk of chain-split after master-node enforcement, that is the reason we are giving one week time so that all users, pools and exchanges will be updated to new clients by then. Mining using old clients might result in generation of invalid chain after onset of master-node payments.

P.S: If you are running an older version, shut it down. Wait until it has completely shut down (which might take a few minutes for older versions), then run the new clients from download link below.

First launch of new wallet will prompt a reindex, which is normal and only for the first time, you can go ahead and hit ok...

We have been caught up with several tasks and will upload the documentation before the master-node enforcement date.
I cannot say that master-nodes will fix the hash power variation, but previously 10 days without a block was due to no miners.
we believe that proof of stake is the only way to avoid dependency on pow miners and consistent block times, we are still working to implement POS on Philscurrency without breaking the chain, POS update will be out soon.

I have scanned the wallet again with Microsoft Windows defender and it shows 0 threats. our work stations are clean and shows no signs of malware.

Our plan was to remotely activate the master-node payment spork at December 16, 2017 12:00:00 AM GMT+00:00, but we had some technical issues activating the spork.

Plan B was, we activated the spork manually yesterday and there was a short duration of chain split between our seeds and rest of the chain, which none of you realized because of our swift disaster recovery, which brings us to Plan C.

Our final solution after staying up for (I lost count of how many hours here ), we have released an update on github with wallets and binaries, its a mandatory update to start receiving master-node payments, we have updated all download links on website too

Windows QT masternodes running great. Best guess is the incoming port isn’t open, the RPC function isn’t working or cron job to keep the masternode running isn’t working properly. Don’t usually use non-windows vps so cant help more than that sorrry!

My MN was working fine for several days. I had to restart Windows today and now I am also having the same issue.

Hosted nodes by us are all online, and receiving rewards. If rewards frequency is down, it is down. What is important is, is your node online. Most likely it still is, and that is what matters. Blocks are slow right now, rewards will be low today, things will stabilize. More nodes are coming online! Price is up, and we have more node coming online, surpassing many other nodes that have been established for longer! Keep spreading the word! Stay happy!

I also followed the documentation step-by-step and i guess im not the only one with this problem to keep masternode enabled. My masternode is active between 45-60 before gets disconnected

OK, I fixed it. The problem was with the firewall setting on the VPS. I needed to activate the linux firewall and open ports for ssh (22) and masternode (36003). Everything is working fine for the past day or so.

Great job on being listed in this decentralized exchange. I just checked it and everything went fine on my end. Take note that Phils is also traded there with Litecoin pair so anyone who wanted to buy some Phils with their LTC should be able to do it now. The price is somehow higher there because of the supply being sold there. It should normalize once we see some volume in it. It is just sad that many coins are stuck with coinsmarkets and the proper owners of those coins should be making money right now with it. Hopefully, coinsmarkets will not turn into scam but the chance is higher each day that passes by.

PHILS will always be a token for all of our further projects as we have mentioned earlier. i cannot say in what way we are better, instead i would like to see PHILS as a root for all the exciting projects we are coming up with. You should check Philcurrency's discord channel. They have a service being offered there where they will host your MN for just $3 and take note that you still hold your coin on your own wallet. Go check it out and you can always ask around there if you have somethings are unclear about it.

I had similar problems getting my MN to work in windows and then I switched to linux thinking it was a problem with the windows wallet but I had the same problem in linux. I'm actually not 100% sure what the actual fix was because I kind of feel there is some kind of weird glitch in the code maybe that causes this. I ended up carefully reading through all 3 masternode setup guides on the phils website and combining the knowledge from all guides to fix the problem. As I said I am not 100% sure if this is required or if it fixed my problem but the last thing I changed was adding the line 'rpcport=36002' to the conf file since it was missing from mine before. Here is the contents of my phils conf file:

Make sure to change 'any_password_you_want' to something else although I suppose that could be a valid password and will most likely work if you leave it like that. For sure you must change 'your_masternode_private_key' with the actual private key for your masternode and also 'your_external_ip_address' will be the ip address of the computer you are hosting the MN.

After I made the changes to my conf file I stopped and restarted the wallet and ran the 'masternode start-alias MN_Name' command and I got 'successful' as always. I was able to check on another computer that my masternode was in the list by using 'masternode list' but as you stated, I was having issues where it would show up and then maybe 1-2 hours later it would disappear from the list. There are 2 other commands you can use to check your status. 'masternode list-conf' and 'masternode status'. masternode list-conf should show "status" : "ENABLED" at the bottom. masternode status should show "status" : "Masternode successfully started". For me, the problem was that the masternode status command was showing "status" : "Not capable masternode: Could not connect to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:36003" even though there was no problem with my ports being open. I ended up just shutting down the wallet again for about 5 minutes and restarting it and magically everything gave the proper success msg after that and I started receiving rewards after about 24-36 hours (I believe there is a 12-24 hour period where you do not receive rewards after first enabling the masternode properly). After getting my first reward I now get them every 12-16 hours.

I've set up 5 other masternodes before phils and never had this problem. It can be frustrating but I hope this helps!

Sorry, I have to ask. How did you send your phils to the wrong address by mistake? Did you manually type the address and make a typo or did you copy/paste someone else's address? You should always copy/paste the wallet address when sending or receiving coins to prevent mistakes. I always double and even triple check my addresses to make sure the first 3 and last 3 characters match up so I know that I didn't accidentally copy/paste and miss a letter or 2 on the front or end of the address.

You must be new to crypto and I hate to tell you but most likely your money is gone. If you typed the address by hand and made a mistake then it's very possible the address you sent to has not even been activated and maybe never will be so therefore can never be retrieved. If you sent the money to someone else's address and you know who the address belongs to, you can reach out to them and explain the situation and cross your fingers that they will be nice and return your money. My guess is that you don't know who the address belongs to and it looks like it was never used before so most likely it belongs to nobody and the coins are gone.

A very expensive, difficult lesson to learn for sure. REMEMBER KIDS. ALWAYS MAKE SURE TO COPY/PASTE WALLET ADDRESSES AND DOUBLE-CHECK BEFORE SENDING.

A few weeks back i've set up a masternode following the instructions at the Linux VPS Guide. Now i'm trying to unlock the collateral 12000 Phils and send them to another wallet and keep getting the "not enough funds" message.

Thanks. Dev is very talented. Will wait to hear the facts when the roadmap is updated. Given the coin is pure PoW I am sure the dev will take into consideration the miners getting a good solid reward to continue encourage mining. Definitely one of my favorite MN / PoW setups with good long-term potential.

1. Send a transaction 12,000 for your MN address.
2. Wait transaction will accepted by network (at least 1 confirmation).
3. Issue "masternode outputs" command in console window - you will see TXID and index.
All 3 steps need to be done from the same control wallet.

Have chainsplits occured recently? Have devs fixed those technical issues?
At the moment, more than 42% of coins locked in masternodes. Good signal for such a young coin.

I'm not aware of any chainsplits happening with Phils recently. It appears that is not the case with what's going on right now. The devs are very involved with the community in finding solutions for the problems that they are experiencing right now. One solution that they think of is to switch this coin to POS - Masternode setup. There's no concrete plan yet but they are drafting it for the public release (no date yet). Marketing and other stuff are already being prepared in the background.

Many things are happening for this coin and those are for the betterment of it.

Over on the Discord channel it seems that things are moving forward with the swap. The lead dev mentioned that there will be an announcement about the swap soon but that it will happen after coins can be withdrawn from Coinsmarkets...

It has already been mentioned a few days on CM that withdrawing of PHILS should be possible, but I personally have not been able to succeed. I can login to CM, fill in the withdraw form, but then nothing happens (connection times out). Anybody else already got lucky?

you can stop masternode by sent your coin to other wallet and delete it on VPS! I think you only sent all coin to other wallet, Masternode will stop!

you can stop masternode by sent your coin to other wallet and delete it on VPS! I think you only sent all coin to other wallet, Masternode will stop!

Yeah, thanks, I did in such way, using a coin control option. It was a new for me that If I just stop VPS server, payments wouldn't stop. I need to destroy a server.

A few weeks back i've set up a masternode following the instructions at the Linux VPS Guide. Now i'm trying to unlock the collateral 12000 Phils and send them to another wallet and keep getting the "not enough funds" message.

Same here. I've followed the manual swap route and I didn't encounter any problem on that. It is not automatic nor real-time swap (you have to wait for them to process your request) but the main good thing is that I received my Digiwage after a couple of minutes. I must say that so far, the Dev team handled the swap responsibly and they announce important details regarding it on a timely manner. Now, we'll just have to wait for it to be listed on an exchange and see what the price of it will be. Exciting times I must say.
