They're just cleaning the leaves out of the pools.

All my rigs stopped hashing at 3:37AM Eastern time.  It wasn't until well after 4:00AM the "maintenance banner" went up on their front page.  I got the rigs switched over to mph for now.

It has now been over 6 hours, so this is way past a normal maintenance window.  And yes, there have been reports on twitter and facebook about wallets being emptied out.  For example:

That would explain why on some popular equihash pools the hashrate dropped quite significantly. Also the ETN nethash dropped by 10%. Not too bad if they are down but I hope that they were not hacked and people lost money.

My rigs still stand. Connection no. But my account balance shows correctly. On the nicehash website says that technical work is underway. This has never happened before. It seems to me that this is a serious problem. They probably broke and they don't want to talk about it in order not to lose customers.

Has anyone considered that they might have moved all balances to a single address while they do maintenance?

Always doubt.

It is a bit worrying, But I do think everyone is quick to grab their pitchforks.

I checked my 2x NH wallets and they show 0 transactions so a little worried.

Just been thinking about if they have been hacked and the funds in my NH wallet have been taken.

I have 2FA enabled so, in theory, this would stop them.

You also get a mail with a code, a massive long string of code to confirm the transaction also.

NH have their own wallet.

I have a wallet with NH but it is it's own wallet so again in theory only I should have access to it.

Yea, I'm worried. Had $600 in my wallet. I tried checking it, with a few websites, and they all say 0. There are no transactions at all tho. No sends no receives, nothing. One site had a thing on the bottom that said "No transactions. If you are seeing this message, this address may not of been used yet.", so on the other hand I'm not seeing where anything was moved either. I remember hearing something before about their addresses not being an actual address, only an internal address specific to them, so I dunno. Definetly stressful waiting for info.

Boy, this really is a good example why it's important for companies to be a little more transparent with their customers when they do things that are service affecting... Take the BTC transfer mentioned above - it could be one of two things:

#1, Transfer all wallet funds into a temporary wallet when changing something on the existing wallet (good safety measure)
#2, Hacker transferring all wallet funds to their wallet - poof!  Your money is gone.

Since Nicehash has been around the block for a while, I'd like to assume they've got things running pretty tightly on the wallet side of things, so let's assume for now it's #1 - the problem by not coming out and saying what's going on beyond "Our service is currently under maintenance.", or the equally enlightening "it might take longer than expected."

So are they going "Oh crap!  We need to get these servers up now!  What's taking so long?!" - or are they saying "Oh crap!  All the money is gone!  What are we going to say?!"

Either way, no one can do anything but sit on the sidelines and wait because no one will know anything until they give us some sort of update.

If you are checking your addresses on from Nicehash, you won't find it, its because they are using internal addresses from their site, and you can't find them on Blockchain at all
