Yeah, I appreciate the way their handling it. They say they're going to pay us back, so we'll see. They changed the way they do the wallet deal also which is nice. They payout to the Nicehash wallet daily (.001 BTC or more) with 2% fee which is the same as before, but to get it out of their wallet you used to have to pay a fee for each withdrawl, but now you can transfer to Coinbase daily for free, so there's no reason to leave money in your Nicehash wallet anymore. Unless you don't move it over (which is now your fault cause there's no fee) there's only one day of mining payments being held in their system. Plus I just like daily payments. Much better for my cash flow. The no fee Coinbase to Coinbase off chain transactions have really come in handy lately, even more so with the high transaction fees we've been dealing with.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

I genuinely keep wondering if other members feel thesame way. (BTW, I'm not a NH member. I left there long ago.).

External wallet users are still screwed ... also "fully reimburse" here means we'll pay 10% noe, and the rest "in coming months"

Surprise surprise. They are just paying what they lost with the profits of the current mining operations.

What do you guys could say about this statement?

"Disclaimer: By reimbursing of your old balance, NICEHASH d.o.o. does not, in any way or by any means, assume liability for the damages occurred because of NiceHash security breach on December 6, 2017."

do we have a choice?

Where else are they going to get that kind of money?  A few weeks ago they said they had "foreign investors" to help them pay back the lost btc.  Lol ...

At least they are paying something back. I don't think it is fair to expect them to return you the amount in dollars. The funds on the account at Nicehash was in BTC and while BTC is down at the moment it could as well have been up and in that case I am sure you would be unhappy if they paid out the USD value.

So while I also think 10% per month is very slow, it is at least better than not getting anything at all.

Personally I am not going to return to mine via Nicehash, only did it in the beginning because it was an easy way to get started, but since they went offline and I had to setup something else, I won't be going back to their high fees.

This is the game my friends. Its unfortunate but it is what it is. They are trying their best, and ive acually started to use their service again after the hack. In my opinion they handled it the best they could, and are now trying to make amends the best way possible for them.

Yeah, I'm not really happy with 10%, but it is better then nothing (for now). I have most of my miners pointed elsewhere after the hack, except the algo switching ones which I have set to mine there if prices are up, and to failover to other pools when they are down. If they had given me the whole amount owed, I'd of bought a Nicehash shirt (and a new GPU to be pointed there). I'm reserving judgement at the moment, but definetly not feeling too happy or loyal at the moment.

I mine with them.  Actually  this bothers me far less then the 0.0001 non refundable fee to rent from them.

I know that cost me more then this did.  In fact I dont rent much  anymore due to that 0.0001 btc fee

I can tell you they have cancelled and dropped off many many many many rentals on me.  Stealing that fee.

They should refund it when they cancel the order.
