I do not believe that the price of bitcoin can go out of control. There are people who have a lot of coins. They can't release control over the pricing of their hands. As a result, they can lose a lot of money. It seems to me that they turned the pump on purpose. Perhaps speculators are afraid of futures and preparing to leave the market of bitcoin.

Yeah the market is a mess and it might end ugly I don't agree with one thing you said:

This implies the price will go to zero and I really can't see this happening. A 50% drop, even a 75% I can see it as a possibility but erasing eveey single gain and falling below 2016 levels...NO.
I know I shouldn't us this word, but I think it's impossible.

As for panic buying...this thing always ends up bad. And the time frame for recovery only gets longer (6 months in 2013) and then 3 years/

Well, your post is another good reminder about the golden rule of BTC investing -- Never buy at the top.

If you're hodler and you actually can afford to lose whatever you have then just continue to hodl otherwise, you may think about selling.

The general ideology of hodl is  about long term hodlin and I'm sure that BTC will be even bigger in a year (or more) so  long term hodlers won't realy lose their money. Anyway selling now and then buying at bigger price will still increase your btc amount.

This ia what im thinking too maybe the price of bitcoin is good for those who have bitcoin because they onlu hold it and wiit for the time that the bitcoin rise again. Bit if it is out of control it have disadvantage too. Maybe one time the price of bitcoin will overpriced but tomorrow it can deatroyed. Price bitcoin this moment is already not controlled. We've seen price movements that are beyond prediction. This is impossible and I think this is a dream. But in fact we are all in this condition and this is a reality. We need to respond positively and make the most of the momentum. me too, it is not healthy, but yes we are talking about crypto and the rules are supposed to be different.
interesting read on reddit,
some are saying the price is going to soar in the next 5 years, it is hard to know.
The positive thing is that there is potentially only 21,000,000,
the negative thing is that the new traders dont care about crypto, or the technology but pure profit at any cost (i am being general, this is my gut feeling)

i think it's out of control, too. people are anticipating a $20k price so there's panic buying - many from first-time bitcoin buyers. clearly, they're eyeing a quick profit so many are buying now so they won't get left out on the gains

Yeah it creates a feel that bitcoin price is going to crash but don't know may or may not be cash but it made me feels like crashing will occur in few days but I am just holding bitcoins as a long time investment so I will not worry if the price falls also,I know bitcoin having the potential to recover if the price falls.
