Mining at
199.16.31.96:3355
since hours getting almost nothing.

The previous day payouts were MUCH higher.
GPU miners in game since recent, payouts decreases more than 10 times.

Yep, it is now the field of other miners. I also stopped mining. I am just wearing down my computer for a limited amount of coins every 12 hours. No need to get my CPU hot. I will be checking in from time to time, but no the time has come for GPU miners, my time is over. If i can provide assistance, please feel free to contact me.

@Cheatoshino.. i like your concept of DAG and mining and see a potential use IRL, if you have time available we may discuss the potential? I lack the technical background for implementation of DAG.

can I suggest that we stay in CPU mining, never open GPU mining function, the "CPU mining Only" symbol will be worth a billion
because CPU-only, means everyone has a chance, everyone can join in, that would really be good for the liquity
the more people know it, the more people like it, the more people want to own it
when the newers come to this market, they always want to try something that is friendly to them
8 could really be a year for CPU-only coin, because we already have enough GPU mining coin
so, please just stay CPU-only

Totally agree. But eventually a GPU miner will be developed, whether we want it or not. The question is, will it be faster than CPU?

I don't know that much about mining, but isn't GPU always faster than CPU?

Looking athashrate i can conclude that the GPU miner has already developed or developed much MORE powerful CPU miner.
There is no ICO, there is no premining, but there are private miners and one of them has at least a person from dev "team". Pay attention to this.

We can not know this.
Given that these people are selling their coins at once. (0.1...0.2$ price now)

This may be similar to scam.
Such "independent" developers only worsen xdag's position.
IMHO

Will see... also there is a lot of people mining right now, lots of friends of me are also mining this coin.
Maybe when the gpu miner is released things wont change much, because there are thousands of people mining (i don't know)

It's just too early for GPU mining. XDAG project is in a very early stage, so early that can fail even before getting to a single exchange and we may end up with a bunch of useless coins.
What is the need (apart from greed) of releasing or letting run a hidden GPU miner by a few people? It should be available for everybody, what are you scared of? it will be the same, only few people can afford expensive cards, GPU rigs etc.

The mining rate we had before GPU came in was simply perfect. There were powerful and humble wallets, but everybody was able to mine something, now only the greedy can. Yenten project is more genuine in that aspect.

I don't know what will happen, but this project is very interesting, and i want to learn about it.
There is a public gpu miner in development, crying won't make it to be released sooner. If there is already a gpu miner (nobody knows if is true, just rumors), is a private development, and is not going to be released.

How can you compare yenten with this coin? seriously? This coin is going slow, but is being development from the scratch, that is why everything is so slow. If you compare the profit of mining to one or another, maybe, but yenten is pure crap/scam, which have no development, is just a fork, and the only development it have is edit readme/html files https://github.com/conan-equal-newone/yenten/commits/master it has no future in any aspect.
edit: https://conan-equal-newone.github.io/yenten/index2.html wtf?Huh?

Edit2: I don't know if is possible to change it, but whould be interesting to keep this coin as cpu-minable only, without gpu/asics

I know it's just a fork, I meant the mining part as YTN mining is CPU only, yet a bit hard to mine. I'd like to keep xdag cpu-only also.. or at least for a long time to make it more evenly distributed.

@Cheatoshino.. i like your concept of DAG and mining and see a potential use IRL, if you have time available we may discuss the potential? I lack the technical background for implementation of DAG.

The new release of T13.838 uses a different technique for distributing the winnings between the miners. I hope this will not be a lottery as before, and the miners will receive reward in proportion to their hashrate. So the CPU still has a chance.

What is IRL? I don't know. You can write me directly to cheatoshin@mail.com

i will contact you in due time - have to discuss it with a few other people. I think your DAG is the answer to several of our problems. But i have to convince them.

IRL = in real life - i meant in a practical use.

And i will await the responses. In 12 hours i have with (combined) 3 Mh/S only 20 coins. That is at the 199.16 pool. So for now, i will await the comments on the update before restarting.

This project is not designed to be mined on the CPU only. It is intended to be a rapid decentralized payment system of large capacity. Probably with confidentiality and clever contracts. May be, in the far future central banks of different countries will have big farms of asiks and will mine this coin to support a single payment system of the Earth. This, of course, is an exaggeration, but in this direction we must develop.

I repeat once again that I have nothing to do with the creators of the GPU-miner. As a pool owner, I probably extract this profit, but not the largest, my pool produces about a tenth of the blocks. I could change the algorithm so that the GPU miners would be unprofitable to work, but not for this the project was conceived.

Thanks to everyone who intends to stay in the project.  Smiley

So there is a GPU miner?
