If you are planning to trade altcoins then you wouldn't need such high starting captial since most altcoins have very low price. Just make sure how much money you can risks and wait for holding during those period that you plan to trade.

on altcoins, maybe you should start from $200 to buy altcoin and trade it.
at the first time on trading, just use a few amount of funds. if you experienced enough, you can use larger funds.

When the time i start trading i invested a 1000$ for learning purpose this value is a good start, but think the other factor like the fees or what site do you want to start trading there are exchange site that has a small fee but lots of them will kill you in a high fee. But i feel you can start with what you can afford.

Fee in transaction always created to us a problem but actually with altcoin, that fee isn't too much like Bitcoin because the price of each token is the way much more cheaper than Bitcoin, so the fee due to that become cheaper than Bitcoin and it's not a problem at all if you're using them for exchanging.

It will be depending on your capital, there are a lot of people here who are eager to invest a huge amount they are all waiting for the price to increase but still you can start trading in the market in order to earn more profit daily or monthly.

If you want to earn good amount of money from crypto trading my advice with me to start with at least 1 BTC and do the trading according to the minimum risk. Play on both side of the market to maintain the risk like also do day trading with long term trading so if one gives loss other gives profit like this you will have less chance of losing.

1 Bitcoin seems too little with a trader atm when the price of every tokens or altcoins are really too high right now. If you only have 1 Bitcoin you'll buy less and earn lesser.
I think the fit amount should be at least 3-5 BTC, with that amount you can split it into many investment and it means you'll have many income source instead of investing in only 1 thing.
That's the better way to secure your income.

I think $500-$1000 is okay to start or investing.  And make sure before investing in crypto or in altcoins, make a small research about the coin you will buy, make a wise decision before buying that coin. For sure your $500-$1000 will be triple or quadruple.

You can start with as little as possible, don't jump into trading cryptos with all your money, you could loose them, I will advice start a little you can afford to loose then you will use that to learn and understand the crypto market.
