Please go to OP and download the update. The code has been edited and edits will occur at block 50k. You will need the new code at that point and going forward.

at block 50000 it looks like the reward drops to 5, and thereon every 50000 blocks it halves.  So if you aren't using the new version at 50000, you'll be off on your own fork, and anything generated will not be compatible with the peers blockchains

yeah its cryptogenicbullion.conf or CryptogenicBullion.conf in *nix I believe, definitely not .config

I have no issues connecting even without adding nodes... 

I am willing to bet if you check your log file, your IP is for some reason banned from the IRC servers being used to find peers.  Same thing happened to me.
