As of approximately 4:00PM Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) on Friday, September 7th the SmartCash tipbots, telegram bridge bot, and original RPC explorer became inaccessible.

The former SmartCash developer managing those services, Markus (msg768), deactivated the servers and demanded a ransom payment of 5,000,000 SMART ($128,505 USD equivalent) in order to return these services to an operational state and hand over the code and password to the wallet, which was not paid

What really bothers me is the lack of transparency and accountability.

The fact that the dev team ('hive team') are known only by nicknames is pathetic, and I think it is intolerable in  a serious project.

Now, we got to know that a guy whose only identification is 'Markus (msg768)' has blackmailed the entire project.

I would not support any project, unless I could know who are each member of the team, name and surname, one picture, means of contact and at least a short bio.

Otherwise, it sounds like a teenagers' adventure, not a serious project at all.

i know the alt market has gone to shit...but smart really needs to get shit going.  i've seen not-so-nice things about it on twitter, i can only hope they aren't true?

it APPEARS big things are still happening, but not sure........all one can do is hold this thing, cos the price has gone to hell.  the price better come back during the next alt BULLRUN or else smart will be dead with pissed community hahaha.

I think SmartCash needs to rework some of the mechanics of the coin, because the way the staking works now makes it almost impossible to stake if you want to buy, sell, or even move coins. Relying on "HODL" for the very coin to exist is going to be a losing proposition in the long run, as how are people supposed to do anything with their SmartCash?

Also i'm searching for a site where you can see the evolution of the circulating supply of all coins ..... Like market cap , price and volume chart but the circulating supply?
