today there are many cheap altcoins. you just have to examine it, or you can buy bitcoin and you save for a long time. there are many choices and most importantly knowledge and experience. so my advice, dig deeper about the knowledge on crypto.

How sure are you that next year is the year for ethereum? No one can tell if what will happen on the prices of the crypto currency. It will really depend on the demand that the coin will have. Bitcoin's price will continue to rise on the next years and I don't think that Ethereum will be able to go over it's rate in the next years.

He's asking for a recommendation. And I think that recommending is base on ones knowledge so we might also call it an opinion. I do recommend ethereum because ethereum's system is better than bitcoin's. It just so happen that bitcoin is the first crypto to be acknowledge by the public giving it the edge over ethereum.

In regards to opinion, the other activities that one promotes should be considered as a gauge of how one's opinion is shaped.

Meepospammer here is promoting in his post signature an ICO that asks people go give sell their established Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, etc to buy a "P2PS ICO". Their website doesn't talk about what the P2P ICO token is, how its business model provides something tangible to the world.

This P2PS sounds like a ponzi scheme...would you trust the opinion of someone who supports a ponzi scheme?

Sadly that kind of price of bitcoin will not happen again, it is just in the past. Today we will be looking forward to the price that bitcoin or any other crypto currencies did not reached, bitcoin will be setting out another ATH before the end of the year.

Actually,  there is no such information that next year is for ethereum.  In fact,  the reason why we're here is just to promote the entire cryptocurrency not just only bitcoin or ethereum. I think you're just hoping that ethereum will go further by next year as bitcoin do so.

In my opinion, if you want to buy Bitcoin at $10K price, you are definitely late to the party. The bitcoin prices surges are so fast and so high. No one with a sane mind would Invest right now except some newbie that didn't realize they buy at the top. I recommend you to wait for some correction for Bitcoin and get in as soon as the correction happen.

2018 is going to be a great year for cryptocurrencies. If you can, investing now would be a really good decision, in my opinion. Maybe wait for a local dip before you get in, or keep buying in smaller amounts to dollar cost average (google it if you're not familiar with the concept).

Actually I feel pretty much about the same about cryptocurrencies, not sure how it will be in 10 years or 3 years regarding cryptos but with all this hype made for sure 2018. would be good year to be in the field.

This is also a solid advice to with smaller amounts on the very start and spread while learning.

Hope makes all possible because it is up to us not up to the coin to rise or fall its price. It’s not good to lose the hope because even not bitcoin has high price than a lot of coins. I am sure till the end of this year and the few starting months of 2018 will be the best time in bitcoin history. With 10K, the best strategy would be to diversify. Invest a little in Bitcoin, Ethereum and some other cryptocurrency.

Bitcoin is unpredictable, who knew we could see 17 grand in december...sometimess we just need to go with our gut feeling when we want to invest and for me bitcoin is still on my to bucket list

Its never too late for investment in any point of view, be it in stock exchange, gold or cryptocurrency. What really matters the most is how you are going to start and for how long you can hold on to your investment. Apart from this, a major point in investment is the pick for the investment which is the most critical part.
Looking at the current price spike in BTC it seems too expensive as per your investment allocation. Apart from BTC, other cryptocurrency I would have invested would be ETH, LTC and Ripple. There are hundreds of cryptocurrency in the market, but most of them are scams, apart from some currencies whos future potential is mysterious

Definitely never too late if you choose the right one. I see TRX and POW token going high in the next 5 years. For now both of the tokens have a very cheap price of each token with the latter one being very cheap, but i predicted TRX will be at 50-100 USD in next 2 years and POW will be worth like 30-50 USD in the next five years. Probably even higher actually
