It's hard to recommend those projects that will continue to grow. I think that 2018 even Godot breakthrough for all kryptomere.
But I distinguish those projects that I think have the most applicability in the real world:
NEBLIO (think very powerful show)
WAVES (cool project is nothing to add more)
DASH (they said they will fight with bitcoin ha first place ambitious)
Stellar (only today found out the news that the founder of KIK out with ETH and can stellar due to the fact that eth is too slow)
STRAT (also a great project I think)

Can you tell why you did not include ethereum? to think it is the most trusted altcoins in the history in which very stable at the top of all altcoins and secondary to bitcoin.Ethereum is the most trusted platform used by the ICO to support their projects and tokens that is why the price value makes a big leap to pump this month from $450 to $700.

A couple of week more before 2018. I only have a few but I am planing to invest and hold some altcoins. Litecoin is now making a huge increase, I want to hold some of it. To add litecoin, I will invest on Neo, Etherium, Monero, and Iota. I may fail but, I would not mind since i will be using my spare cash for them .
