Yeah absolutely, I'd 100% agree with the prevailing sentiment here: it's very much down to your character, your mental endurance and equanimity that will dictate how well you are able to do in this game long term. Every time I get too emotional and make a buy, or worse, sell because of fear or greed... well, let's just say I've dramatically weakened my portfolio in one way or another. I obviously think having a cool head and being logical, and not giving in to fear, is to a certain extent dictated by who you are etc., and some people are just born to have a good constitution for trading/investing. However, that being said, there's a lot you can do to improve your mentality and your endurance anyway. Develop good habits and routines. Set rules for yourself. Don't become obsessed checking market price, and watching the swings. It's just masochistic. Oh and I was always a skeptic about meditation until I started in crypto... but I realised that taking 10 minutes to just calm your mind every day leads to much smarter decision making, and much better performance in other areas of your life.

Hi, I see a lot of members waiting for like 7 days and they didn't getting any profit.. After 14 days the price is dropping.. They screaming on bitcointalk and Twitter.. (some of them  ) My answer.. Just wait! - Developers can't work 24 hours a day - don't check the twitter or ANN every hour  - a project in blockchain isn't a job for a week.. Be patient.. If you wait a year or a couple of months you get much more profit. I wait patiently for the money to come to me for several months or years. I have hold my coins for 2 years and more. |

I agree that you need to be patient. But at the same time you need to follow the news and changes. Balance is needed in everything - patience and activity. |

Some people who keep on ranting because the prices of the coins they bought are dropping. Prices are fluctuating its a common thing in trading. You need to be discipline and a lot of patience for you to be able to see the results. Don't sell your coins to a cheap price. Because in the future the prices will go up. And you will regret it if you sell your coins now. Just hold it for now and wait.

I agree, in past I was too damn worried when bear market crash happened and sold everything all the time. Now I am experienced I do wait patiently and profits become real after market recover.

Patience is a strange word: it comes from ancient greek "Pathos", to suffer; and actually, what you are waiting for something, you suffer and there is the temptation to "force" the situation, usually with bad results.
So, to learn to wait for the best moment to act is something very precious for a trader.

Many of us are just want to make a profit for a short period of time. They do not have the patience to wait until their holdings pump. I guess they just want for a quick buck. Well, crypto is not like that. We cannot predict the market since many are manipulating it. So my advice is this, just wait until it reaches your desired gain before you sold it. But control your greed. Sometimes too much impatient and greediness will lead to nothing.

Stock market is a market of patience. You buy to a person who don't believe anymore. But the crypto are in a big bull market, if you wait enough time you'll be in profit. It will not always be like that, but for the moment it's a good strategy.

But yeah, invest in solid project you believe in, and forget it for a couple of years (if you can). Much more profitable, AND much easier as well ! I sometimes avoid news about cryptocurrencies, just not to stress. Too much involvement in this field can lead to anger, it is just too volatile with too much euphoria/anger. |

be patient but don't be dumb holding for to long, educate yourself for future new and things that affect crypto. I pulled out BTC around 15k and still waiting before I buy up. The same people saying that I was dumb to sell then are looking pretty dumb right now with it hitting close to 8k and maybe 7k soon. Now I will not be dumb enough not buy once it gets alittle cheaper!

I think, Patient is the main key to profit after investment. Always try to invest at lower price and my self try to keep calm until its not going to profitable stage.Specially in this market here is noting to way to earn more money with out be patient because after you invest here can be loss but you should hold until make your profit.

For me, it will take time for us to realize which decision to take. Why? No matter how people educate you, you wull never realize or learn until the experience teaches you. We have already heard many from those who started before us but still many did nit learn from them let your experience teach you. Accept the falldown and learn from it, surely you will do better next time.

Cold calculation, a sober mind is the main quality of the trader. Without them it is impossible to conduct effective market analysis and all events to properly trade and earn. So you need to be patient, to wait ,and after a while you exactly you will profit. Do not forget that spontaneity, impulsiveness, panic, greed – all the bad qualities that ruin a trader.

Yeah mostly of the new ones here are impatient because the fact that they have a few knowledge but as time goes by they will understand it little by little. They want to be a millionaire in one click only just because they entered here in crypto world and because of the rumors that you will become rich in one week or two weeks only here in btc. Be patient always that's the keyword.
