I do think that if a project has strong fundamentals and a great idea, the price cannot go down. If this is the case, I would blame something else, in primis speculation. But long term scenarios might be brighter.

It should also take into account the fact that long-term investments from the year bring great benefits to the investor and almost never burn out, whereas with a temporary drop in quotations short-term investments will be completely unprofitable.

This the golden rule. For now you can keep identifying the coins which will pump bcz of bull market. Once he bull market market start it becomes difficult to identify bcz everything moves up and greem. So identifying the maxmium potential in coins can help to make gain more. Like EOS is trading between 5 and 7 dollars and u know when things start moving it will easily cross 30 $ so 4x potential from here. So sit tight keep observing coins like that. I am trying to be patient in waiting for my profit because I know that it is worth to wait. As long as I don't need extra money yet, I'm not yet withdrawing it because I know that its value would increase.

We can't profit here if we our hot headed always. Patience is the key if you want to aim for your profit. There are a lot's of happening here in crypto market where there is always a slide in the price. When i was new i was eager to profit everyday and that cause me headache because i can't reach my target then i realized why not wait for the right time to profit and not to force myself. I think i cool my temper now than before where i always need more profit.

Choosing an investment is indeed the best, but if it is not based on patience then we can not get anything. Investing not only requires a lot of capital, without any patience and calm then we will not get the best results. An example is that we are impatient when there is a price decline in a coin, whereas in some future time the price may increase. That is a mistake, but with patience we can improve the situation and get much better results.

I think that making it possible for anyone to invest in crypto is great, but the fact is that is has opened gates to inexperienced traders. I am still a noob, after a year of trading and watching the market. Also, when you see price of a coin go 7x in a matter of days (not talking just about the January bull run, but that happens in general, pump and dump, etc), then you think it's a regular thing, and you want to have that kind of gains with your coins too. I definitely agree about being patient. My suggestion is to play the long game. Trying to day trade when inexperienced will suck you in and become an obsession, but doesn't guarantee you'll see large gains. In fact, I think long term holding is most likely to bring big gains if you choose projects you believe in, and if they really are solid. Imagine trying to trade a coin that has a private beta out, and you are trying to hang to any news about it, like conferences and dev updates. There simply isn't enough to go on yet. Then, imagine when that project releases a major version. That's gonna drive up the price. But, imagine when a little more time passes and they start gaining traction and start being used more widely. That's when you'll se the largest gains!

That is better  insight for today's Crypto behavior. You cannot meet your expected profits instantly, you have to surpass the obstacle obtained on it. After a months or a year will be the best for you to earn a greater income. For the newer traders you should have to be more patience in every circumstances happened today that can cause you a lot of loss on just one move. Remember that regret is on the last part of everything.

Well if you are going to be practical then waiting is the key for the sure profits after all of this dumps that is happening right now. Panic selling won't help you or would benefit you, besides, you might ends up regretting that you have sold your tokens because you were afraid that you are going to lose more if you are not going to lose in an instant(the whales got lucky).
