can the masternode be run in a pool?

if by that you mean running a pool software along with MN client - then yes. but you need to remember that masternode requires way more resources than regular daemon

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

probably meant shared MN or just spamming for forum levels judging from his/her posts.

probably, its way too early for shared MN service to pop up anyway

Seriously, what happens when someone else tries to make a coin with the same name? Like stocks they’ll have to make a different ticker call letter combination, presumably.

Depends on project size and exchanges. Bittrex for example used for a long time BCC ticker for BitcoinCash instead of BCH which other exchanges used. BCC was taken by Bitconnect coin 2nd largest scrypt coin for that time and around TOP10-15 in marketplace. Still Bittrex decided to use BCC for Bitcoin Cash. Bascially not caring that it was alredy taken.

true, CEX can use any ticker, since its independent instance - but nobody likes sloppy work anyway Grin

It seems to me that such schemes quite often arise from scammers who want someone else's money to raise funds. I do not argue. that this project is the same, but I wonder why they chose this very name.

Need to write them. They then decide onlisting fee based on coin. "The cost of adding a coin to the exchange from 0.5 btc to 5 btc. (All coins will be reviewed individually)."
