There is no single person on earth who haven't heard of bitcoin.

Nope, not all. Still a bigger % is left out and are yet to put their money as well as mind into Bitcoins.

Quote
Everyone is talking about it, it's all over the news, everyone is buying it, price is dramatically increasing.
It's like gold rush back in 1848.

They're all doing it seeing what others are doing, but are not understanding what's behind Bitcoins.
Why is it increasing with such speed in value?
Why are millionaires and even billionares taking interest into this?
Trust me, a little knowledge is a dangerous thing and they should really study before plunging into Bitcoins.

Quote
So why aren't we calling this bitcoin rush?
You know, in 20 years from now it would be funny to say - yeah, i bought/mined bitcoin during bitcoin rush back in 2017 Cheesy

It can't be called as Bitcoin rush, we may call it a rush when alone Bitcoin's market cap will cross at least $1 trillion and Bitcoins to $100k.
Again, trust me, there won't be anything funny any more when you will discuss Bitcoins even after 2 years with your children. Wink

Im sure the older generation do not care about cryptos. At least if I take my mom as an example

But to my surprise even the old generation nowadays are trying to learn about bitcoin and planning to participate in cryptocurrencies investments since its price are very high and it has become quite famous these year that it even already reached different countries around the world regardless of age.

It's possible that everyone has heard about bitcoin but all have intires to get into it? We cannot even calculate that issue because we know that it's a bit before the bitcoin price rises and many more can actually happen in the future.

Maybe if the bitcoin is really gets lost so we can get rid of that problem

People are aware of bitcoin yes, but not a lot uses it. For btc to be a fever, a significant amount of the population should use it at least.

Bitcoin has not covered 5% of the world population to be said that everyone has heard about it. No doubt, it is a good ground for investment but a "green horn" and so won't be classified as a rush at the moment.

There's still no bitcoin fever yet. It's true that much more awareness was created when bitcoin rocketed to 20K last month, but the mainstream did not step in massively. Now that Bitcoin is dropping maybe some more people will start to invest. But the high price makes people think it's a bubble.

Yes i also believe that bitcoin fever is not here yet. Although we can say that bitcoin is almost not unheard of, there are actually still too many people who are hesitant to enter.

yes, I agree with your statement, so now we buy bitcoin as soon as possible and as much as possible, and then divide the investment. long-term and short-term investments. long-term investment will be more profitable, and 20 years later will be a happy whale. and no regrets.

I don't think bitcoin is that much famous.Yes it's true that it's gaining fame bit by bit.But it still has a long way to go.I hope that in the near future many countries would start accepting bitcoins.I guess we could see a bitcoin rush in this decade itself for sure.

This is a very wrong statement (I mean the phrase that there is no a single person ON EARTH (!) who never heard about BTC). Less than 30% of people know about it, and all of them have pretty good level of life. Thus, they are in a rush to earn more and more.

Although I hear more people around me talking about Bitcoin, I don’t think most of the population know about Bitcoin. We can call it a fever when the whole world is snapping up bitcoin.

What they are feeling right now is not fever because of the increase in price, but are not worried because the price seems very unstable and we have been stalled in the $10K-$11K range. Smiley

I have to disagree. For me, its a small percentage that people know bitcoin globally. Only its already a brand name, those who don't have access to internet or mobile phones doesn't know bitcoin or crypto for sure. We can call it a rush if you go out on the street and can talk to someone about bitcoin. In my place, I haven't seen or heard anyone asking me about bitcoin.

There is no doubt that we take part in Bitcoin rush. Many people prefer to exchange their money to BTC.  It shouldn't surprise us because people who bought BTC several years ago now are really rich. 50cent sold one of his albums for BTC and earn incredible sum of money. Bitcoin hype is getting more and more widespread. It is the real Bitcoin rush.
