I waited since two months to get my account verified after submitting documents.
But for my friend it didn't get completed in 2 weeks. He is waiting since a month but still no reply.
Looks like bitstamp verification process is complected and depends on applicants also.

I submitted my verification more than one month and a half ago and i haven't been verified yet. I got verified 3 days ago. I waited exactly 1 month
That is why i am not using big exchanges anymore, i prefer to use those who are not asking for KYC or any other kind of bullshit because they are never verifying new users. The same happens on Bittrex and Polo. |

Figured I'd ask here on this forum, instead of submitting an official support ticket with Bitstamp (which will further increase the backlogs of tickets, which will further increase the current verification times). Has anyone whos previously posted on this thread made any real progress?? Man, an official status update from Bitstamp would be so freaking awesome...but even that seems to be too much to ask for. I'm not a fan of how misleading Bitstamp's website is. According to them, it clearly states that increased verification requests are "causing backlogs of up to 2 weeks before they are processed". Well it's obvious that processesing times are taking much longer than two weeks, so then why mislead the public? I'd rather them give a realistic estimate. If it's going to take f***ing 16 weeks to verify my account, then just tell me that from the get go.  I wanted to update this thread for anyone who might be following and/or still cares. So I first submitted my request and verification documents back on 12/29/2017. My account was FINALLY verified earlier this morning. So yes, verification for U.S. customers is a thing, it just might take you 42 days or so to get it done.  Hang in there people!! HODL-4-LIFE ☮ |

Same problems like other exchanges had. To many people and small capacity.
But large money is spinning and like always it will get processed.

I have heard that all the exchanges take a lot of time to get verified to get into. Let's see if they upgrade the capacities

I had applied on 31st dec and yesterday my verification was rejected because the address proof was more than 3 months old. Now I have resubmitted the documents. I dunno how long they will take now.

They need to hire more staff thats for sure, because such waiting times are unacceptable.
However, Bitstamp is not only one whos struggling with this avalache of new custumers.
For instance to get verified on Bitfinex you need to wait up to 8 weeks...

Did mine from second time(some ID problems which they didnt like) around summer 2017.Took me 12h,not more then that.Need to check the status all the time.Might be rejected,cuzz some reason.

Waiting since 7/12/2017, so that is........ 2 months and a week? Yes that should be right. They have a message on their site saying that verifications may take up to 2 weeks, maybe they misstyped "2 months"... but even then they passed this mark too! Let's wait for 2 years next.
Well I've lost my interest on them, I'm fine with KRAKEN/Cryptopia/Bitfinex. I wanted an account on Bitstamp too since they seems to be legit and serious, but I don't think highly of them anymore.
