isn't exactly that descriptive... how is anybody else supposed to be helped by this post in the future when they search for your problem?

Get full block chain, which will happen eventually or you can download the most recent blockchain from here, which should catch you up to just a few hours ago, and the rest of the blocks will download faster from there.
