I don't think so because EOS is under Ethereum's smart contract and the EOS' blockchain core is Ethereum.
In my personal choice, I pick NEO is the next Ethereum because it has it's own unique Blockchain core network and it is better than Ethereum actually as the transaction speed is faster and more reliable.
I think NEO will surpass Ripple's Market cap anytime soon and would be the third in terms of the most important Crypto in the market sooner or later.

Are you nut? Creativity to make another copycat with give a lot of promise about the scalability improvement. Ethereum can do even better than it. When ethereum was working on the cross blockchain platform and eos still work on its copycat of smartcontract. EOS try to decentralize everything and what a shame about that. Cardano has a better performance than this one. And does it make sense to call neo as ethereum killer?

1, bitcoin, it might be bad, but it is the first
2, ETH, no coin can replace it, the first success revolution in crypto
3, XRP, one of the first, strongest coin for application
4, IOTA ( or might be your coin instead), the most powerful coin for daily using.
