NOTICEJust an update, I have been talking with bee7, veremit and sirnubbles about maintaining code/developing upon StarCoin further. We are working on implementing more secure features into StarCoin; right now you can expect an update by as soon as tonight. As bee7 stated previously he is not going to be a developer for this coin. He has also stated that he may submit pull requests if he sees fit. Currently I have synced version 1.7 with the stake lockup fix and I am actively mining blocks @ http://block.farmI can confirm that bee7's fix has fixed the timewarp bug and corrected/fixed PoS. I have also forked StarCoin and merged bee7's fixes @ https://github.com/strcoin/starcoinAll updates from the new dev team will be pushed to this repo ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ If you have any questions about the upcoming update stop by #starcoin @ http://webchat.freenode.net/

If you're going to fix the problems, don't lower the pow:pos ratio like bee did. That changes the coin's original design entirely, and part of it's unique draw. Just fix the bugs.

The interest is the same. You will not be able to exchange with cryptsy until they update the wallet.

For now, Firebird2000, see below. The team (as it is) is working on a Win32 version, linux build from source, ofc, and in due course a Mac wallet. Any problems, please visit the #starcoin channel on Freenode IRC ( webchat here) Version 1.7.0 Win64: https://mega.co.nz/#!9dBynbaS!YEvnMIXoKMyyMzcMlldZoLyQX6-zyH3VP6a03kmkooksource: https://github.com/bee7/starcoinAfter the time-wrap bug hit Starcoin at block 777855 again and finally stoped the network from producing new blocks the following changes to the protocol were implemented: 1) The ActualSpacing is bound by 2 seconds and TargetTimespan, i.e. 15 minutes 2) The PoW/PoS ratio is set to 1:3 (compare to the original one 1:12) to allow more PoW blocks as anyway for the last half a year the PoS was already broken. 3) The block trust scoring algorithm changed to target 3 PoW blocks among past 12 blocks. Release Notes: The Windows binary provided is native Win64 application cross-built using linux mingw64 environment. It is built with BerkeleyDB 4.8.30 and openssl-1.0.1g. The builtin CPU miner in above mentioned build should not work due to some incompatibility between mingw64 and original scrypt implementation. Though, mingw32 version should work just fine. Feel free to build one if you need this functionality. Please note, I am not going to be a developer of this coin, I just released a fix that may allow the StarCoin to survive. So, let's see if cryptsy updates its wallet to this version. Good luck.

As far as I know, Cryptsy is the only exchange that carries StarCoin.

Since there is no block explorer, can we verify here what block we are on now? ./starcoind getblockhash 790330 0000000440b58b5b48389266b376915b8fafd133dab481dfbbeb2468ebeb56c6 help verify you get the same hash for that block. We've reopened our starcoin pool, star.minepool.netclient version : v1.7.0.0

CryptoBlox could set up a Block Explorer and Faucet for StarCoin. Usually don't do these for free, but in an effort to raise this coin from the dead I don't mind helping out. Any donations would be greatly appreciated though. Will try to have it running within the next 24 hours or so. btw, we have a StarCoin Mining Pool already running on our site also. StarCoin Pool = mine.cryptoblox.com
