I received my Baikal B today from ITOP.
Its been running for about an hour with no problems.

I saw that a few chips are defect in my miner  . 16 are defect according the overview. Sended james a mail what to do next. |

Note: The miners sent by itop were directly shipped the same day as received and Baikal has a default mining configuration set up. Also there is no back to the case that is also how Baikal designed them.

With supernova in 9 hours i mined 51 coins.
with coinmine in 9 hours 54 coins.
Now at 37 degrees celcius

I received my miner today. Thank you!!! It has been running stable all night. Profitability (reasonably) isndownnsince the first announcement but .0125 BTC/day is nothing to shake a stick at!!

What will be the price on this next order 20K? It seems the price seems to keep going up, while the profitability goes down. I don't know what people are thinking, but you are taking a huge risk by buying this miner at these prices. Lets just say that at current levels you make 3K a month, thats damn good, it will still take you 6 months without any change to make your money back before you start seeing any Return/ROI. The nature of crypto is that there will be some change -- The coins might go up in value and that is great, but that has nothing to do with the miner. You could just as easily spend 16,000 buying the coins. The profit has fallen and will continue to fall so the prices of the miner should be decreasing . In a few months this miner will be making $1200-$2500 per month. However , is it possible that Baikal has raised the wholesale cost from $3600 to $6,000 ? Last week I was justifying a price of $10,000 , but after doing some estimations , I would not pay more than $7500 for a late February delivery. The prices on Ebay have dropped to $11,500 . I will sit the sidelines on this one. I can build something for $4,000 that produces $1200 per month that is more flexible and has a better long term asset value . |
