51% kept by the founders.  Shocked
Why?

That's insane, this project looked good for a while, but devs must have lost their minds 51% is ridiculous

2 Sirius team:

What about the dates of your plans? you so vaguely said that you were going to start working in the field of marketing in the near future, but did not name specific dates.
It's a shame that I ask questions that I do not get answers, it seemed to me that the project will be more friendly to those interested, but in fact I see how my questions are ignored. while a lot of hype around the project, any idea how much it will cost tokens. this is not seriously go to the essential exchange and then talk about the value of their coins.
I'm just wondering. My message to anybody? can I write invisible messages? No one's been answering lately, I feel completely alone.

I think the team reserved 51% is a good proportion, but this 51% should have a plan, otherwise the impact on the market is terrible. For example, how long is the lock and how much is released each year.

it has become their decision, maybe some people ask questions about it
myself think that proportion is fair, they may have other plans with a budget of 51% kept by the founders
investors will give full trust and will not doubt it

Good to know that this project already has 30 developers.
51% for the dev team is ok for me if we can know how those SIRX will be used.

51% dev fund will keep most investors away.

There must be an explanation regarding that allotment. maybe it will lock for the next 10 years and they just want to have minimal circulating supply by locking the other 51% of coins.

This was my reaction when I read the paper and I'm surprised that anyone is OK with this.
Compare this to Byteball and Semux. Both coins written from scratch with high activity on github.
Byteball dev has kept 1% for himself and Semux team are keeping 5% of the total supply (20% of the premine).
I want Sirius to be successful but no-one is going to take a 51% founders premine seriously.

its still a position paper or still open for revision. Im sure they are reading everyone's thoughts about the 51% dev fund.

Lets wait for the official whitepaper and we will see if they will change their plans and will just follow the community pulse.

I completely agree. I don't want to judge prematurely because the devs haven't responded yet but I'm shocked that investors have already said they'd be fine with this distribution.

I don't really mind a 51% development fund, but.... they must have a goddamm good reason to have a large share like that. One good example is they already have a working minimum viable product or some partnership with a known reputable organization.

Everything was looking good until I saw the the 51% going to the developers. That's such a huge turnoff.

I was very against when they try to raise 2m $ just for exchange listing. But i don't think it is logical to criticize %51 part. Icos selling %50-60 and keeping rest for themselves. At least they are not charging for %49.

I agree with the %51 part but also devs have comunication problems with community. It's not really hard to come here and make announcements. I know you were active in other platforms but you said bounty campaign will be announced in begginning of March, if there is a delay take a couple of minutes and make an announcement. No one will bite you  Wink

I think they had this problem from day one. And they tried to raise 2m dollars but as far as i know they collected about 800k$ or 80 btc something.

They are not very active even on slack.

Imo it is good that it is criticized , this way the dev team will have to come up with some sort of explanation. Because unless there is a very good reason for them to have that much , i see it as a negative thing for this project. Exchanges will be harder to find this way and a lot of people will disregard this project immediately when they see what the devs hold.
