Is there anyone actually mining this coin? I like to know a pool that's working, finding blocks within the last 24 hours and paying out.

Ignition Coin is a mysterious coin, but have been added to CryptoBridge, so it probably should be a good thing, what coins would be IC's competitors? How many coins are needed to run a masternode? I'll be watching. Smiley

There is a few competitors, some coins, like DMD, would be considered directly competing for SoV, Low-Supply systems. Others might include Bitcoin, but not many competitors in the MN/PoS arena as most PoS Coins have unlimited inflation, while IC will only mine fees (similar to BTC) after 5M Coins

A few days ago we noticed issues with PoW blocks being processed,
Here is the latest update on PoW Instability:
PoW is continually getting difficulty spiked by large miners jumping in and out of mining IC. It's currently working *as intended* by the code, yet, the code is what is making an unstable block timing for PoW with the onset of large fluxes of these miners, and we can't do anything about it until the update of difficulty retargeting algorithm, which will be a hard fork, and we are working to make process happen as smoothly as possible.
Due to the fact that exchanges will have to update as well as a majority of the network, and pools, and not being required for the chain to continue processing, it will be at a safe distance checkpoint 1-3 months of blocks in the future, from whenever the update is ready, before activating.
Proof of Stake & MN's are not affected, and all other aspects of the network are still working fine, though average block timing is still higher than usual, and PoW block time is very high. Due to the instability block rewards are mostly going to PoS blocks while the PoW blocks come and go as the network manages to find more difficult blocks than expected. All transactions continue to process, etc. and have become more stable since the issue became noticed, but clearly is not where we'd like it to be still.
If your not mining $IC with ASIC or GPU, you can probably disregard this update. Otherwise, just know that PoW blocks have very high difficulty, and will continue to be until we process the changes to the code necessary to resolve. No estimated time for this is established yet, but we will keep you informed.

Thanks for the update dev! So there will be a hard fork in the near future which is fine with me as long as this will fix the problem. I have seen in the past that Cryptopia can be a pain when it comes to hard forks/coin swaps and sometimes delists the coin so I hope that won't be the case for Ignition when the time comes.

No problem. You can also find the same message in our #announcements channel on discord so you can always find current or recent notices fast and easily.

are there any intentions to follow Monero-style forkand modify algo to the one being asics-resistent?

Hi, the exact plan is still TBD, hoping to hear back from outside developers before we make a final assessment on the exact plan of action, but if it is possible to do so smoothly, then yes this would be ideal. Join our discord at https://discord.gg/HyMjdeK to keep up to date on any announcements about it

Which hardfork did you mention in your thread, vella? Would you mind giving me more information about the coming fork of Ignition coin, please. Cryptopia got lots of troubles in the last few months. Hope that they will finally come back to good operation conditions.

Hope that they will finally come back to good operation conditions. It is in the top of this page and the announcements channel of discord. Nothing is certain though, and PoW Blocks have become much more stable. We are considering every option available before determining if, when, and how to change PoW to make it more consistently stable without being affected by large miners coming in and out (shifting difficulty too high, when they leave mining) - It will be several months out from whenever we decide and move forward to a different difficulty algo or pow algo, as to ensure as smooth a process as possible. Thanks and if you have any other questions you can join Discord here: https://discord.gg/gRBA93

There always seems to be issues when you have all three and that is why most switch to just PoS and MN. Maybe that could be an option in the future to phase out PoW? and just have PoS/MN.

hello
how can I optimize IC staking? Let's say 1000. it is necessary to split the coins in small piles?
thanks
