I read the other day that Toyota and Pizza Hut are teaming up to make  autonomous vehicle for pizza delivery

Thats how i understood it too,DAV will be there to connect those who are looking for service and those are are offering it.

I would have an option that you can choose to keep the ride solo, or can take additional passangers to reduce your fee

I think i read recently about some company in Island using drones for delivery already.

That's a possibility, as DAV allows anyone to buy or sell autonomous transportation services.
