BTC gone down today

Hope this down trend would bounce back to $20,000 this New year.

Right now, the transaction fee needed for instant confirmation has risen to 670 Sat/Byte. And it is increasing every hour as more and more miners are switching to Bitcoin Cash (as it is more profitable to mine when compared to Bitcoin). Users and miners are moving away from BTC, and this will cause a decline in the value.

Do you think it will go back up? if BTC goes down way lower would it be wise to buy more into it

there is not a sufficiently unsettling decline, everything is still normal
I think this is normal and tends to be stable. you do not have to worry too much. consequently can make you wretched in making decisions

So far it looks like a more or less normal correction, 20% falls happened before many times. A lot of money is transferred to Bitcoin Cash, which is being pumped like crazy (and Bitcoin Gold too). Again, we've seen this before.

There is nothing to worry its still a healthy correction. Some correction is expected when Bitcoins goes up so fast, and It needs a seller and then a buyer to make Bitcoin goes up again. Personally, $10K is a significant support since it a psychological barrier that has been through.

Who knows? We know bitcoin has a ups and downs it is good with the dip, bitcoin price rising unexpectedly in this past few days. And for sure, It will start moving again after everyone panic to sell their bitcoin.

It fell by 10% since it reached $20k 3 days ago after CME Group made an announcement about bitcoin futures and after this fork happened it's value suddenly started increasing (increased by about $3k) which is why it had to drop. Nothing surprising here but hope it doesn't drop by 10-20% more as all altcoin markets too are getting effected. Most of the coins have dropped by 20-30% as per coinmarket.

BTC newbie here, I bought in a week ago at 17,300 or so. What are the projections going into next week? I'm down about $600+ at the moment and I'd rather not sell at a loss, but I'm not expert enough at this yet to know if it's just a minor setback before another huge gain. Any ideas on the future coming days/week?

If I were you I would just keep hodl and wait for the recovery of bitcoin since I start in bitcoins I already saw lots of huge dump that happen but then a after weeks and sometimes only few days hige pump happen again.

Hope you're right about that. It seems to have stabilized a little bit at least, it seems to be holding at the mid-high 16k range with some random dips. Hopefully before Christmas it'll head back to where it was or higher.

Hi there worldtraveller321! The opening of CME bitcoin future contracts greatly affect the price of the bitcoin while it surges the price of alt coins. It is the same what happen when the CBOE start to trade their same bitcoin future contracts. The bitcoin have just start to inclined its price when days after the opening of the CME bitcoin future contracts. Comparing to the passed scenario, the bitcoin could stall around 19k for a week before starting to step in another price hike, and by this, I think it is a good time to buy.

I think this is normal to happened. Others are for sure starting to invest on alternative coins. Like myself, it is also good to see other potentials of other cyptocurrencies. But as for me, bitcoin will continue to go up since many more than ever now knows about bitcoin. In fact money countries are allowing bitcoins in their transactions.

Guys let them dump, teach them a lesson and buy more, make them fear the FOMO,  There is a risk for them to dump also.   They are feeding the winners.  Perfect time to buy in more altcoins and bitcoins, you become a loser when you let them manipulate your thinking.  This is the art of war remember that.  You have to see also the bright side as well, you are not losing coins it just loses value.  So you really dont lose anything unless that is your money you live on.

Yes, as you have seen on the market, it has been stretched from 19,000 levels to 16000 levels. This may be speculation that maybe bitcoin cash may be related to Roger's twits.then the Trend direction may be downward after this ann. we wills ee

it is normal for the bitcoin price to go down, it is all part of trading. sometimes the value of bitcoin goes down and sometime it goes up! it will not be always going up! I believe it will go up again in some time today or the next day.  I think the reason why its price goes is many people are selling due to the high price but it will go up again when people buys again.
