Just because the price of the bitcoin dropped doesn't mean it's dead. The demand of the interest of people is still drastically increasing that's why i know the price will come back up again and continue to rise again.

Why you think its dead? Its just a price drop, pretty normal in crypto world, If this you consider a dead then bitcoincash stays dead 99% of the year lol.
Agree 100%. Those who have been in crypto for any time know this is typical push down before huge rally. Great oppertunity to get in. Many will make mistake and follow the herd. Oh well. There loss is others benefit! Making the CME investor pull out their hair. They are not accustomed to such wild swings. Love to see them now. Panic, confusion etc...LOL |

Yes, I agree with you. This is just a adjustment of market when the investors sell their Bitcoin to get profit or they wanna shift to invest in BCH. Bitcoin is not dead. It will recover in 2018 |

I do not know whether BTC will die, but why DASH increased by 30%, who knows?
Many altcoins are raising it comes as a result of people wanting to earn quick buck, their understanding that they are late for bitcoin run but see opportunity in altcoins. Many people are comming in the cryptocurrency in hope of investments. Dash is another altcoin, it is used by some merchants and services but in my opinion have lack of big community, one of the driving forces there is that their dev team or whatever they have money to do ads campaigns and organize some events etc so that they can spread the word about Dash. Its always been their among top cryptocurrencies and in my opinion will continue to hold its place within first cryptocurrencies |

You can't say so easily that bitcoin is dead, if you say that then you don't know what bitcoin is, because for those someone who knows alot about bitcoin they know that bitcoin won't stay on its value, sometimes high and then suddenly drop low, its normal on bitcoin because thats how bitcoin works it depends on the demand on the bitcoin market will be the value pf bitcoin.

Since I joined that 'crazy' Crypto world....I've read and heard that same message like thousand times for different reasons and it's never dead!
I agree with the OP, the transaction fees/times are currently insane but that will be cleared soon (I am sure) via LN or anything else

Today, Bitcoin is declared to be dead again as BitcoinCash is surging so high into the atmosphere as many people are expressing their complaints on Bitcoin's astronomical transaction fees and questionable speed. There is a movement right now in the market expressing a big dismay or disappointment on Bitcoin as this is not the Bitcoin that we are supposed to have. Bitcoin enthusiasts are recognizing this problem and hoping that soon the problem can be given adequate and acceptable solutions. Have you already said your goodbye to Bitcoin and hello to BitcoinCash? Honestly, It's wrong to say that bitcoin is dead, there's just a small fall in the price (in last 24 hour value decreased by 4%). Due to there are many transactions in blockchain and the majority of them are unconfirmed. Furthermore, the fee is very huge (more of $20).
In fact, Bitcoin cash has a crazy advance in the market cap and the price has become $ 3480.

Hi there iamTom123! As I observe the market, when the bitcoin fails or price drops all of the other altcoins including the famous bitcoin fork you are talking about steps in a higher new price. As I see it, it is not just one specific coin perform well during this time. Top coins out there are performing very well at the moment. I don’t think the lightning network could do a better job at this, but one factor that affect the price is the opening of the bitcoin future market by those big trading company. This problem I think is just temporary issue, and the price could sky rocket after several weeks.  |

Bitcoin is showing high levels of volatility, those who believe strong in bitcoin can buy at this moment, I think it is the moment to buy as it is anticipated it will still grow higher in 2018. The recent pump in bitcoin cash can also be a reason for the price swings in bitcoin, this don't indicate that bitcoin is dead, anything going too fast can be stopped a while which doesn't mean that it has gone down, an opportunity is given for us, the thing is we have to utilize it.

How can it be dead if only it drops the price a bit? Bitcoin is still number 1 and we know in the first place that bitcoin is in cryptocurrency world so meaning it is volatile. It may increase or decrease in value . But I think it will go back to its peak again and rise high compare to its highest price days ago. So don't think that it is dead it is very far from being dead. |

Many in the past have said that bitcoin would die in the near future like when the price fell to like 3000 dollars from 5000 dollars, but Bitcoin value increased by a lot. Bitcoins recent high transaction fees and time for the transaction to be complete is really worrying many people to be the reason for bitcoins failure in the near future but maybe it gets solved in the near future. The growth in BCH's value is said to be a problem for bitcoin in the near future I don't know how much would that really affect Bitcoin prices. Conclusion: It is still to early just to say Bitcoin is dead again.

It's just a price drop which has happened with Bitcoin before it will recover. It's not dead yet, but it can be in the future as many new fast and better technology as LN is coming, Bitcoin is replaceable but not dead yet.

Many times the bitcoin price have fallen and many times peopel were wrong about it, and many will regret switching to bitcoin cash, it is no suprise for us that the bitcoin has fallen a bit as it is the case every year, and this time it is no different, after the skyrocketing price growth that we have witnessed this year, i don't belive that any man that have a slight sense of mind would ever risk abandoning the bitcoin, may i need to remind you how much was the price mast year, and how it fallen down from 1100 to 700 and people started panic selling and after a month the price started climing again, and those same people were posting how stupid they were for selling it, no need to panic and make stupid decision that you will regret it in the future, bitcoin is always going to be the king of the cryptocurrency and the price is always going to keep going up no matter how others try to be like it they will never reach its level.

There is no DEAD phase for bitcoin, corrections are needed for better price returns. Watch this and I think we will end in a higher price next month. This happened many times before in bitcoin. |

Not sure why anyone would think this is a crisis. A correction has been long, long overdue. The bull was supposed to take a rest a long, long way back but it just kept on going. What's abnormal really is that this has taken so long, and the dip isn't as sharp as it could have been. When it goes up 100% and comes down only 25%, what does it say about Bitcoin? When insider trading on Bitcoin Cash, combined with the double whammy of future shorting and increasing regulatory pressure, all can only do this "damage" to the price, and when its direct adversary of BCH celebrates reaching barely 20% of Bitcoin price... this says volumes about the resilience of the world's most used, most recognised cryptocurrency.
My only regret now is that I received significant payments just days ago on jobs I did a while back. I don't buy Bitcoin so much as earn them, so I'd loved to have earned on this dip. I'm envious of anyone who has the chance to buy now.
