Is this real? I tried entering etherdelta a while ago and since my browser have some sort of security and antivirus protection it warned me ahead of time that the site I wanted to access is unsecured etc so I did not continue.

very surprisingly if etherdelta hit by hackers, I feel confident with exchane etherdelta to be used as the safest exchange but now I feel worried about my funds are still there. hopefully can be fixed.

Stay away from Ether Delta though. There is something funny about those dudes in charge anyway. I seen them list coins on their exchange that are clear scams meant to confuse and manipulate people. A respectable exchange wouldn't list those coins.

It also looks like crap compared to other exchanges.  The site is slow and an utter hog to try and do anything on.  It's way too cluttered.  I have some EthD on there and will leave them there for the time being.

I used Etherdelta to sell all of these beautiful airdrops last three months. So, it is time to say - "So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish"
I wish good luck to devs!

Damn nothing is safe. How much security can you provide after all. So much efforts and resources are just going into securing things, which could have been used to develop and evolve the systems.......

You can actually see in the comments that so many people lost their funds to this address, but thanks to decentralization, nothing can be done.
https://etherscan.io/address/0x3f8a37bde9b15b65c82f9cdd00192e0ba36cc5fc#comments

You can see your funds in that wallet, but you can't do anything!!! Not even the ETH devs and team can. So much for the decentralization. Guess ultimately the law of average wins. No system is perfect, neither centralization nor decentralization.  Embarrassed

The amount of stolen funds is not so much to influence on the price of ETH or any tokens, but the fact of the DEX hack shows its vulnerability. Thanks God that I didn't make any tx after the hack.

there have been many frauds, last week they created a fake app of myetherwallet in the iOS App Store and the most crazy thing is that it was placed in the third place of the most downloaded in the Finance category of the App Store. So guys, be careful with every operation that takes place.

so we have to catch up with these frauds and inform each other
So are you trying to say that all of the people that got hacked are IOS user? I am checking my account in etherdelta wallet address every hour on etherscan and its doing fine so far.

Does this hack affect users who trade on ED using their Ledger wallet? Does that mean that all the Ledger private keys are now compromised?

It’s so bad. Obviously it doesn’t mean that all ledger private keys are compromised but still when something like this happened all of us feel unsecured. I think it’s best to wait until they announce that everything is safe..

again one more major attack in ethereum network . Etherdelta was down for few days while using github now again they compromised with DNS. I am loosing faith on etherdelta looking for some alternative decentralised exchanges.

Very important lessons for all of us
Do not leave all your funds/coins in one place, such as etherdelta or other exchanges
always activate 2fa if possible
be extra careful of phishing site
Have multiple offline/hardware wallets

Trade safely!
