I dont understand why after corrections people start to say 'Bitcoin is dead'? Because of fee? If it goes up too much that is normal! Bitcoin has problems and everybody knows that. Thats why they do forks. Bitcoin is gold of cryptocurriencies. Just hold it.

because some people (including op) thinks that bitcoin wont recover anymore but of course it woudnt happen because bitcoin has been proven and tested to recover and will then increase again to reach his new all time high after the correction has subsided. high fees and slower transactions are infact pretty normal and many people including me are already get used to it because its not new to see and experience that kind of problem. these problems occur because bitcoin price is too high but for sure it will be back to normal if bitcoins value will become stable at an average price range.

It is crazy. I was just about to send 0.2btc and i have to pay more than 0.006 fee! This is outrageous! Almost 300k unconfirmed transactions and it's not getting any better

I would bet my left testicle that Ver is spamming the network like a madman to help his BCH crap increase in value.
Don't go on BCH, it's an old technology, it's just Bitcoin with an 8MB block, move onto real better technologies like IOTA or Byteball, don't make his game!

Oh no. This is the problem, people are now moving to utter shitcoins expecting them to go to the moon because bitcoin fees are out of this world. I think that's the whole idea with every shitcoin. Did you think maybe there's a hell of a lot of incentive for all of these shitcoins to spam?

Bitcoin died many times but it keeps on rising. Now we are seeing bitcoin's another dying moment. This time even those who believed in bitcoin for so long are being tested. Are we going to lose faith? We already put our faith in bitcoin so better keep it and let's see this through.

It is a good time for whales. They will buy with low price and will entertain in future with high price. Non-professionals have started selling bitcoin due to panic but they don’t know that suddenly the price will go up again as we have seen in past. Up and down is a natural process of market regarding goods so why we take it much serious to shut down our business completely. I suggest that it is good to buy bitcoin with low price because bitcoin is not going to die.

Sadly to hear that. I even don't try to make any transactions last 2 weeks. If i need $, i just change BTC to ltc or ripple on Bittrex and then change them on local exchanger. I have some BTC on blockchain.info wallet, but i decided to keep them there till better times. sending them now - it is crazy.  Huh

Sincerely, I lost confidence in this crypto currency, it's good I've finished believing, I do not think it will reach the peaks, precisely because of these costs that rot our lives, the bitcoin goes give way to the other alt corners, I think we are heading straight for the free fall

Bitcoin is using old technology and if that don't changes soon it might be a hard fall for BTC.
But at the same time devs are under the pressure because of many forks.
People don't like hiccups in transactions, don't like changes, well they something need to change.

After reading your post I found really Bitcoin are gradually lost his position in cryptocurrency. The premium between the transactions is very high, while as normal BTC fee is usually very cheap. This would explain the future of the Bitcoin apparently will be replaced by the other Altcoin crypto, typically the Ethereum. I still hope the Ethereum will replace the Bitcoin when Bitcoin dead. I still invest a lot of Ethereum to make the profit in 2018 because I believe 2018 is the year of Ethereum.

I can't say its dead. Many people are still using bitcoin but the number of people getting dissapointed over bitcoin fees and unconfirmed transactions are increasing. The developers must do something to amend these current situation or the investors will find their way out of this mess and out of bitcoin as well.

A couple days ago I posted here because of a transaction stuck in the void for which I paid 30 dollars fee.
Now, one hour ago, I sent a transaction with a 130 dollars fee.
ONE HOUR, STILL ZERO TRANSACTIONS, 130 DOLLARS FEE.
I'm sorry to write this, but Bitcoin is DEAD.
I've been a defender of it up until now, but we've gone too far.
Who the hell is going to buy Bitcoin when the word will spread?
When people will try to get their Bitcoins from the exchanges, they'll meet this reality, and Bitcoin will be dead in DAYS, after the word will begin spreading.
Just please don't go on BCH, let's try to move onto better technologies like Byteball.
BTW can anyone tell me what should I pay to move my Bitcoins now?
I have now 4 Bitcoins stuck in the void.

I hope this problem would end. Many people are affected because of the slow network, it is not good for bitcoin and the users. But bitcoin is not dead and it will never happen.

I wouldn't believe if bitcoin will die, it is a statement that is painful for all users. I'm sure this is just the thing that has become commonplace for him if there is bitcoin bitcoin will is weak as hell but after dropping it will a startling thing happened to us all that indicated a value priced bitcoin truly extraordinary as few days that could reach $20 k

The problem is currently that the fees to send Bitcoin are simply way too high. I don't understand what the developers are thinking. They  should be trying to lower fees, but it seems they want to increase them. It makes zero sense. I really don't get it, but anyways if BTC dies then we will just move to another coin. Tongue

Well, bitcoins transactions right now is what is killing himself. We cannot deny the fact that the high transaction fees and slow transaction process is a bit irritating to the investors.

Bitcoin is alive again, the fees were quite for today/tonight and it's amazing to have some transactions for this day of Christmas and I hope that this will be continuous so that every bitcoin holders and transactors aren't going to whine again with the high fees.
Well, bitcoins transactions right now is what is killing himself. We cannot deny the fact that the high transaction fees and slow transaction process is a bit irritating to the investors.
And that's the reason why others are looking into other cryptocurrencies, the ones that has fast transactions and cheaper fees.

This is indeed something the core team has to work on.

I agree, their commissions are very high, however, I do not think that is dead, bitcoin is still a good alternative to invest, it is a matter of time.

bitcoin is not dead it turns into business where every transaction you will pay for it. bitcoin price increase then miners and exchange sites want to earn profit so they increase fees to. i just hope this problem will be solved so we don't have to worry about tomorrow or the future.

Bitcoin is not yet dead. It remains alive and very much healthy. The problem is that there are people who are doing all they can to counter the growth of Bitcoin. The likes of Roger Ver and Jihan Wu cannot and do not want to play the game fair. They may be promoting an altcoin that offers better features but they are not satisfied with the proper promotion of such. They try to clog the blockchain as well as cause the value of Bitcoin to dump to make their coin looks better.
