It's very difficult. I know from my mother's case. She lost everything in her life, home, husband etc. and become depress. How to help her? It's very difficult. In my opinion, we should keep such people busy, talk with them, don't allow them to be alone with their thoughts to much...

Hi, I just wanna ask how to overcome depression? I have a friend and she keeps telling me that she don't to live anymore and that it is better to die, she has lot of problems but she just keep it on her own, she is so depress and i can't find the right words to make her feel better. And also can't a person overcome depression on his/her own?
It is necessary to walk more and spend time with friends and not to become withdrawn in yourself if it does not help, then you should consult a doctor-psychotherapist.

Actually that's true, it's difficult to cope up with that situation, but most of the time, talking and mingling with people in the community could atleast ease that feeling. Too bad that some of those depressed people tend to just sleep than go out. Also exercise could help, but as I've said, most of the time a depressed person just want to be alone and if possible just sleep.

Actually that's true, it's difficult to cope up with that situation, but most of the time, talking and mingling with people in the community could atleast ease that feeling. Too bad that some of those depressed people tend to just sleep than go out. Also exercise could help, but as I've said, most of the time a depressed person just want to be alone and if possible just sleep. Having a depression is very difficult, but it can be helped and controlled. People with depression should talk about their problems or fears to other people, to someone who have the heart and willingness to listen. They should keep themselves busy, for example, go out with friends, go shopping, or cleaning the house. Or maybe, they can talk to a psychologist to help them by giving advice or medical advice.

Overcoming depression on your own is not an easy thing to do. Almost in all the cases, the help has always turn out to be from someone. The best thing to do is to talk your worries with someone (not everyone deserves to know your issues. Find appropriate persons you can trust and believes can give good advice and therapy - eg. a counsellor). On the other hand, if you're to help a depressed person, never let go off them even though they claim nothing can save their situation. Try as much as possible to engage them in conversations and activities. You can refer them to appropriate persons if the issue is beyond your control. Note: Depression is amongst the leading causes of suicide and should not be taking lightly.

Nope... it is not that hard. I have gone through such situations, and therefore I believe that I have some knowledge regarding this. The trick is to keep your mind occupied with something else. Either you can go out with your friends, or you can watch TV programs or movies.

The good things is you are there for her. You should not let her do her suicide plan and talk to her so you can do anything to make her feel better. Invite him to consult for a doctor if it's very serious.

everyone has their own ways to cope with depression. some like to tell a story but many also prefer themselves in resolving their problems. clear the always use and watch your friend, do not ever ask about the problem and consider it nothing happens what let him calm down first.

Depression may make you feel a loss of control over anything in your life. Take back the control by learning as much as you can about depression. read about the problems they might cause to be anticipated, find out the available treatments, practice the ability to cope with depression, and find a trusted doctor or therapist. you can also find friends in arms through the site or forum on the internet and read the story of his struggle in overcoming depression .

The best part out of depression as I have personally experienced is to push yourself to do something, find something, a hobby, anything, then do it, the productivity alone from that activity which you have done will motivate you to want to do more and the more you do, slowly but surely you will pull yourself out of depression

Don't feed his pity party syndrome just tell him straight that if he want to see good things in his life and make up for the things that loss then..shake off those negative things that he keeps thinking and those bad feeling he has keep for a long time..this does not make him better

To overcome depression first seek God's guidance, kneel down and pray ask God's empowerment to lift you up, do not let negative feelings to dominate you. Encourage yourself. You may feel sad, hurt, unwanted. Just cry. Let it out.

we all know what depression is and how it reduces one's possibility to operate. There are no "how to"s it's always hard to overcome this, yet you can get involved, force yourself to get out, start to appreciate the small thinks that really matter, it is not going to take away all your problems but it will slowly fix your brain. Lock yourself in between 4 walls, talk to no one avoid life and you will slowly fade.

Depression likes to be bad thinking of mind. By feeling depression anyone may lead to go astray and actually feel lonely so such a person who feel depression need care and companion to take care obviously
