Yesterday SnowGem was subject to a malicious timestamp attack on the network.  This attack uses a function in the block chain to alter the block creation time of submitted blocks.  In doing this the network difficulty is manipulated to a lower difficulty level and allows for accelerated mining of blocks.  This is not a unique function to SnowGem and is present at its default values in most coins.

This will require an MANDITORY security update of all wallets, master nodes and pools.  This update will help to limit the possibility of this type of attack from reoccurring.  All wallets, master nodes and pools will need to update their SnowGem wallet. It is highly recommended at a backup is made of all wallets and private keys (both t and z addresses) before you begin the update of your wallet.  Wallets need to be updated before block #246600, after this block is passed, transactions from old wallets might be rejected.

Pools will update ASAP and miners can continue to mine on pools that have been updated with no further loss of mining using their existing addresses.  Please contact your pool operator, or check there official discord / social media for information on their update progress.

For masternode on VPS, you just need to build latest version from github code and start wallet on VPS again, don't need to press on start button on local PC
