Just as what many expert analysts have predicted, there would be a big dip for Bitcoin just before the end of the year. And because Bitcoin could not hold on to its bull run, there is a need for some corrections and that is what we are experiencing right now. This is always the cycle for Bitcoin and with this cycle there is that opportunity to buy Bitcoin much cheaper compared to the ATH level. This is the best time to add more Bitcoin just as many are dumping their holdings to get converted to the fiat money. This is signalling to us that a big entrance door is widely open for all to participate the cryptocurrency bandwagon.

Instead of panicking, it is time to buy more Bitcoin and make more profits when it can be back surging again. In fact, I can see that this dip is the best Christmas present from Bitcoin to all of us. As to the rest of the hodlers, we just have to continue on believing in Bitcoin and we will eventually get rewarded.

Merry Christmas to all people...from Bitcoin!

Yeah, people like me will be slightly happier for this correction, long awaited and long delayed. Definitely had a good run and honestly not out of sync with the rise and decline patterns we've been accustomed to over the past year. Is this a good place to buy more Bitcoin? For sure, and to return alts to better levels against Bitcoin, I might add. I may even be hoping for below 10k if it it will mean a healthy surge back to $15k and a stabilisation attempt there. Christmas gift indeed, if anyone here is looking for a payout in crypto.

Overall, my holdings have slipped 30% from just a few days ago, so diversification hasn't really changed the broad pattern of losses, but like most holders, this is but a blip we're happy to have now rather than later. Well, if is goes down a further 20-25% in this final week of December, I'll be an expert for having predicted a max level of $10k by the end of 2017 Wink

Yes it's early christmas gift for people who keep saying something like " If it crash I will buy everything with fiat " So yeah I think if you have money laying around it's a really great time to join the crypto world ! Me personally, I've been waiting for this correction for a long time ! My mother wants to buy bitcoin but the price was too expensive now she can afford it and asked me to buy it for her ha ha !

It is chrismas gift a lot of people have been waiting for, quite early though. I don't mind having the opportunity to spend fiat and buy some cheap coins, and 20% off sounds like the perfect deal for me, though I would wait a bit more to see if a better deal comes up this weekend (we tested the low 13k).
But I don't understand why the everyone is panicking, perhaps the newcomers fail to realize that exactly one month ago the price was around the 8k and then it increased by almost 75%, in one month! They should've known how volatile btc is, and how at some point the price had to come down (a correction), but they were blinded by greed thinking they'd get rich by christmas  Roll Eyes

I like the idea of trying to simulate like if bitcoin is now at an offer price, that is pretty cool because we are seeing it in a positive way.

But we should not remember the fact that it is much more lower than what it was before

These words seem to me rather the search for an unsustainable consolation, because regardless that such a low price can mean a great opportunity for many bitcoiners to increase their holdings, it will never be good news for the nascent financial industry based on bitcoin continuing to suffer the ravages of exorbitant volatility. In the short term this correction seems positive, in the medium term it is very harmful.

But "the dip" occured on friday and considered the clogged mempool and withdrawal problems on several exchanges, banks which are closed around christmas and weekend, i think it was a bit late for Christmas cashout to be on time to buy presents.

Nope. Bitcoin has been subject to heavy volatility since its very first exchange listing, and things are still like that today. It has no impact on the mid and long term at all. Current levels are the perfect example of how insignificant short term fluctuations are to the long term price. In some cases you also have to be realistic enough to understand that the market has to come down due to certain levels being unsustainable, and especially when we're so close to January, and also another major mental price barrier. Current levels are perfectly justifiable if you look where we come from, so don't let this correction distract you from the reality, because that's more or less the impression you leave on me.

Sure that this is like a brand new christmas gift for all of us, but who knows? the price is pretty low right now, i think that we all were expecting to see the price much more higher than what it is right now.

Anyway, it is always good to be positive about what is going to happen next, a lot of people could think that this is a "nice" opportunity to buy at a cheaper price, but i dont know, maybe some people will think the opposite.

Lets just enjoy this, and congratulations to those who have some money on any exchange to keep buying more, this is probably one of the best ways to keep re-stocking your wallets with more bitcoins.

And of course that this is healthy to the market too  Cheesy cause you are increasing the marketcap, lol

some people may find this drop a bad thing or be sad about it but i personally am very happy about this drop and the size of it specially. it was really a Christmas gift that bitcoin could give us.

and i am not just saying that because price dropped and we  could buy more of it in short term with a lot of profit. that much is obvious. but i am saying that because if bitcoin continued going up then it would have been in a bubble for real. but now that it has corrected, that will put an end to all the bubble suspicious for good. of course the FUD will never end but nobody will ever think it anymore.

There is a FOMO brewing...

You're aiming the short term profit, but I'm also optimistic about long term too. The trend will change and this will generate too much money for dip buyers, I believe. We've seen this before.

These dips seem bad at first, but I like them. It gives me more chances to buy more. Plus, I actually get scared when BTC goes parabolic, not when it dips...🤷🏽‍♂️

Sum up the whole journey of bitcoin till now it is clear that "Trust" is the much needed thing to be a successful bitcoin user.
The more we trust bitcoin the more we will get benefit like the old hodlers have done in the past.
In fact the best time to buy because most probably we will not going to see prices at these levels again in future. People were expecting a price increase as a Christmas gift but this buying opportunity is actually more valuable gift for users to grab more coins.

If you're of the belief that this is just a correction then it's a very good opportunity to look to purchase some more bitcoin. As soon as bitcoin fell it can quickly recover. I for one was pleased for the correction as I believed the price needed some taming.

There is really nothing so bad about dips. In fact, they show great sign of health than just seeing the value increasing every single minute and hour non stop, that is what is bad. This is a huge Christmas gift and there is no way to really get it better to buy more than having such dips as this and even if it gets down the more, shopping still continues, even for some alts as well.

Well, for people waiting for a dip to buy more bitcoins it is probably a gift, but for those who already bought Bitcoins in the middle of the bull run, it is a bad news as they will have to wait for some more time to sell back their Bitcoins and cash out their profits, but apparently, it is nothing to panic about for long-term investors as we have already seen such corrections in past and we know it will recover again today or tomorrow.
