I am just new starting into the whole crypto currency game. But I am thinking that NEO is looking pretty promising. I Just picked up a few when the price dropped
a bit. From what I have read it seems to be pretty strong with the Chinese gov backing it.

Now its at eighth place in coimarketcap.com. But filtering value wise, its somewhere down. I have been at coinmarketcap.com everyday watching its growth trend. Before the price fall, the growth was really healthy. I am sure NEO would reach $300 to $500 end of this year. But as China banned traders, will this step affect NEO price increase?

That's really hard to say.
Yes, i think NEO is indeed a good project and gets much support from the community. But there are also many competitors going strong in the past weeks, and i think this trend will continue in 2018. My prediction is NEO will be in the top15 all over the year.

Top 10 or top 15 is almost the same. It enough to prove Neo is good project.
But if you compare it to etherium, i dont think neo is good competitor. Look at the price and popularity, etherium is much better than.

Yes you're right for me too this year for NEO price will hit $1k. Right now it's mandatory to have atleast 1 NEO and 1 ETH because there are lot of ICOs upcoming and all of them really have a lot of potential.

NEO is very strange coin. It's not so fast to grow but when the release it the coin had to be at least like Ethereum. But as we see it's not. The growth is not so impressive and now they have lots of rivals like Cardano or XEM. I have some NEO's but now I'm focusing more on ADA and I think these 2 will be top 10, at least top 20.

I hope that NEO can build a strong reputation for quality projects. That said, the current crop haven't exactly set the world on fire.
