I don't think that etherdelta is unsafe despite being compromised, by its very design your wallet cannot be accessed. The closest and best alternative currently would be IDEX. Until exchanges like kyber are completed these are the best options for DEX's |

Etherdelta was compromised few days agobut according to their official update they are back and safe to trade again.
Claiming is different than proving it, better to use this platform using extra precautions, we know hackers are just around the corner and if they already got a chance penetrating with this exchange then second or more attempt will happen. I agree with you. I really like this exchange. There are coins that can not be bought and sold anywhere else. I do not even know how to replace this exchange. But these problems are very upsetting. I have so far refrained from selling to EtherDelta, although some coins have fallen and I really want to buy them. I did not use metamask unfortunately. |

Nothing is safe in crypto I can't see the alternative I agree with your opinion. In this world, nothing is safe. I think Etherdelta made the same mistake and this is inevitable. In the future, I think Etherdelta will fix this problem and may help investors feel secure |

Ether Delta has never been user-friendly. I for one never used as I did not believe of sharing the keys with the site, and it turns out I was right. An alternative to ED is now Aurora IDEX, which will be made operational in January I believe. However, I think everyone should use a wallet that does not contain his entire Crypto,as you never know.

I hope that etherdelta can be strengthened again because etherdelta is the best token exchange place. Hopefully etherdelta can learn from mistakes.

Why are you not using metamask
Can you explain how this is done, how to use the metamask? I've heard a lot about it, but I do not understand how it works?) It's simple, you install the MetaMask extension in your browser of choice, be it Chrome or Firefox. Then you can create an address in MetaMask that you can use or you can import an existing one. Once you've created an address, websites can ask MetaMask to sign transactions. It's a bit safer than using EtherDelta's built in wallet system because if the DNS was hacked and redirected to another site, it would have to request you to sign the transaction using MetaMask and you'd be able to see if it was doing something different to what the malicious EtherDelta said it was doing. I.e depositing all of your Ether into another wallet which is not the action you were taking on the website. With that said, there are some risks with using MetaMask as well. So make sure you don't put that much money into your MetaMask address. thats a lot of information. Thanks for letting us know every detail about how to use metamask. |

Etherdelta is honest enough to inform us that the site is not to be used for the moment. I still trust Etherdelta despite the incident. The people behind Etherdelta are doing the best they could to check if it is truly hack by temporarily halting the system. For me, this incident will make Etherdelta more secure in the future.

I am not sure, they were hacked and don't know what is really going on there. Better wait and find other exchange until we get confirmation that it is completely safe to trade there. |

EtherDelta is now back. You can see updates from their twitter account, @etherdelta. And you can see from their tweet last December 22, 2017. That their exchange is now back. |

I used etherdelta in exchanging some erc20 tokens because it was so easy and no login required just a address. If you are encountering this better to use or install metamask this will also add some security at your etherdelta wallet.

EtherDelta was hacked and according to articles people lost millions of dollars.
The issue with the hacking has been solved. The unfortunate thing is that people had to lose money.

Not agreed with your opinion that etherdelta is not safe, it is unfortunate that ddos attack was happen on etherdelta and many people lost money but they take prompt action and stop their site. That issue is now resolved and now site is working with much better speed and working fine.
